Earl Yates

Hello everyone, well i have a lil bad news.. I will not be able to attend the reunion because of changes in my job and what is going on with the military. our time to go to is like early 2009 instead of fall 2009. So lots of training is going on and I am needed as well as my co workers to support our soldiers as they prepare to go to the middle east. I deeply am sorry for not being able to come, but i will make it for the christmas holidays. So maybe i can hook up with some of you then. I will be coming with m brother Steven whom also stays up here with me. So at least i will be coming home, it is just not now. I will stay up and in touch with everyone on this site and Jason... i aplogize to you my friend. i will have to take a raincheck on our lil adventure we are suppose to take and Stank 3 times...(lolol) Bro i will get with you on the flip side aight? to the rest of the class i am sorry and will hopefully get to see some of you christmas break.

Earl

Boy! I've been gone a week and people have sure been talking! Earl--sorry you can't make it. We will miss you a lot! Hope to see you at the holidays. Be safe.

Berry, you grow/shave your facial hair anyway you choose! You always look good!

I'm getting excited--see you all soon.

Jason and Dona, thanks for your understanding as well as the rest of Class 88. I am working on a video that i will want you guys to play for me and I should be done in time to send it. Jason, since i have already talked to you about this, I would send it to you. More than likely i will just send it to you in a file. Again guys i am so sorry for not being able to be there, but I will be with you all in heart. Just let me know how the reunion goes. And Randy... I will see as well when i make it back in December. Take care all of you.

Pam Farmer (Fitzgerald)

Kelli, I hate that you won’t make the reunion but I understand. Hopefully you can make the game. I think that there will be a section of seats reserved for us.

Earl, sorry you can't make it. I know you will be missed!!! Stay in touch.

Jason, how long is the reunion?? That sure is a long list of songs. Brings back lots of memories. Can't wait!

Berry, I think your baby face is cute.

Haha! I know... I actually have about nine hours of music ready. I got started and just couldn't stop. I figure I'll just put the Ipod on shuffle and leave the rest to chance.

Veronica Burse (Maffett)

Hey Jason, I noticed you did not have any boy groups on your list. What about New Edition, Gap Band or New Kids on the Block. Also, it would not be the 80's without some rap music. Run DMC, LL Cool J and EPMD....:>
Rap music was great back then because you had all kinds..now days it's all about A** and material things... so it will be nice to hear some music from our day...Does anyone remember the names of the dances that we use to do back then? Just to get it out of the way...WE all did the running man at some point!!..LOL..even if no one was looking...lol...

Earl Yates

Veronica you wild.(lol) wit yo crazy butt. But yea 80's would not be 80's without some good old Run DMC or LL. I am going to miss being with you guys but I am hoping all of you have a great time and enjoy. Hope to see some pics on here from some of you at the reunion. Jason... man you off the meatrack man wit all dem songz.(lol) I look at them and i can basically tell you what i was doing on what ever song was playing. Now that is sad.....(lMAO).

If any of you guys have myspace.. hit me up and add me as a friend. I have my page on my profile here. i have more pics on that page as well not to mention of my kids as well. Anyway God Bless all of you and I wouldn't want to be affiliated with no other group of friends than you guys..... Thank You for making my 4 yrs so wonderful.............

Dona Shields (Sabine)

Earl, you said that you had located Craig Ramsey online somewhere, but where? I looked on facebook, but there were like 50 Craigs, so help me out!

10/15/08 09:48 PM #52

Toni Grim (Long)

I think that Berry does not look a day older than 24 with that smooth face! :)

I agree, I may be a few days short of 38 but I'm not old either. Things like 20 year reunion, my sister and step-daughter not knowing who Luke Skywalker is before a few years ago, my sister thinking Bon Jovi began singing in this decade, my husband and I dating as teenagers 18 years ago.............that makes me feel old but just for a second.

10/16/08 06:54 PM #53

Annette Stephens (Railey)

Hey guys!! I am so sorry for all you that can't make it! I do understand, though. My neices still tell me they don't know so I guess it's 'buy at the gate!) Any way, Those attending see you Saturday , those who can't God be with you in whatever you may be having to do, and PLEASE!!!!!!, let's all keep this site up and going!! Even if we can't see one another, we can stay in touch and share our stories and pics. It's something I want to keep going forever!!! And Barry, you look just fine! You know we have to find "something to talk about" LOL!!! See you all Sat. and hopefully lots Fri. night too!!
Oh yeah, maybe I'm not so old, anyone know, the Electric Slide? It takes country music so Jason, find us something!!(LOL)

I am so excited to see you all and the time is very near! Earl, I was so looking forward to seeing you, but you're doing a good thing...we all understand!

Kelli! I was hoping to see you too but...I wouldn't miss my grandmas 90th either. We won't be at the game but hopefully we can get in touch at some point!

Well...is everyone ready???

I had a wonderful time at the reunion! Thanks for making it such a great time. Seeing everyone was wonderful, even if some people took a little while to figure out who I was. Now you will know me as the lady with the 5 girls, NOT 6! Good to see all of you! Sincerely, Jenny

10/19/08 11:47 AM #58

Margaret Shelton (Forester)

Well, I think this reunion was a big hit! I certainly enjoyed seeing and talking with everyone and learning about what everyone has been up to over the last 20 years...WOW! That just sounds like such a long time!

Earl, I think it would be a fabulous idea to set up a time and place for anyone who is interested to get together for coffee over the Christmas Holidays! Maybe some of the others who missed the reunion would be able to come. That would be nice! Anyone else have an opinion about this?

Thanks to Clay and Jennifer for the marvelous food and down to earth venue. I don't think there could've been a more appropriate setting.

Thanks again to Dona, and everyone involved, in the planning to make this event a success. I do hope we all keep in touch now, via this website or otherwise, and continue to have our own little "reunions" from time to time.

It was great seeing y'all!

Dona, Here is Craigs page on myspace. This is the only thing i could find on him. Margaret..... this does sound fun and I hope we(whom can show up), can meet somewhere to have some coffee or something. I know my mom works up at UTC and maybe she could pull some strings because she knows some people in high places their. It is just a thought. She does help out with catering not to mention she has her buisness she helps run. So maybe if i am sweet to her she can throw something together for us and also the ones whom didn't make it to the reunion. Yea... yall just let me know and we can go from there. I am looking at coming home somewhere around the 12th of December till the 20th or 21st. I am coming with one of my older Brothers whom stays up here with me. it looks as if everyone had a good time at the reunion. I am happy. All take care now....... got an early day tomorrow.

Hi to all!! It sounds as if you all had a good time at the reunion! I am sorry I could not be there!!! My mother was put in the ICU at Erlanger and I stayed to see her. I hope to keep in touch through this site and by phone and email. Hope you all have a wonderful trip home, to those of you that had to travel to the reunion. Keep my family in your prayers as we are still not sure why my mother is having trouble breathing. Thanks to you all and God Bless!!!!!!!!!! Christina Hurley

Jackie, I sent your dad a plate of food tonight. He called me and told me thanks for the chops, they made him think of his wife's chops. I was happy to help. Let me know if he needs anything else. I live nearby, so it's no problem. I offered him the same invitation, but you know how guys are, they don't think about things like that. Just keep me posted if you need something.
