Mary Beth Roberts (Moye)

Hello Class of 1988,
I have truly enjoyed catching up with everyone. You all have such beautiful families. The web site has been wonderful. I hope we keep this going. Thanks to all who have spent so much time on this reunion.

As much as I have been looking forward to seeing everyone, I will not be able to attend this evening. My mother-in-law passed away suddenly this week. It has been a shock to the entire family. We want things to be "normal" but they just aren't.

I wish you all well and much love.

Thanks to everyone who had a hand in making the reunion happen. I enjoyed talking to those I had the opportunity to see. There were some I did not get to speak to before I had to leave to get back to work. Maybe next reunion. Also, I still don't remember painting my name on the wall. LOL!

It was nice getting to see some of my old friends last night. I just hate that I didn't get to stay a little longer to see just how long some of you could hold out before passing out. Thanks to everyone that worked on the planning committee. It was like what Robin O. said you spend so much time with these folks all through out school and then for years do not even know where they are. Then comes the reunion and it is like we are back at school again. Wish everyone the best and take care of yourself until we have the next reunion, possibly 25 say Leslie?

I want to thank all who planned the reunion. It was so much fun seeing people who I haven't seen since we graduated. Everything was exceptional and I can't wait until the next one......

I enjoyed the opportunity to see some faces I had not seen in literally twenty years. Seeing all the people who shared a part of my life with me brought back floods of memories. I stand in awe of the success I saw last night. I was honored to be there. Thanks for a trip down memory lane.

I'm still reeling from the wonderful night we had on Saturday. Committee, you all did a brilliant job in making the reunion classy, fun, and enjoyable AND at such a great price. The food, music, and marketing of the event (wonderful website Leslie!) should be the envy of anyone who has planned a reunion. You really set the gold standard.

The only complaints I have are that I didn't have enough time to catch up with everybody... and the barkeepers were slow (maybe that's a good thing).

But for a little while, you all made me feel like I was 18 and hanging out at North Lenoir again. Like Jeff H and Jeff G have said above, a flood of memories. We spent so much time together (for some of us, more than 13 yrs!) and there we were Sat night after 20 yrs have gone by and it all came back (at least the good bits!)

I'm all for doing a 25, and next time I should have more hours in the day to help out. Jules will be older and I shouldn't have a book to finish.

Thanks again guys, and stay in touch through the website/Facebook.

one question... the slide show that was shown during the reunion... can that be uploaded to the website? I hardly had time to look at it I was so busy running my mouth.

Matthew

What a great time! Had a blast seeing everyone and meeting the spouses. Sorry I know I missed a few people. Thanks to all the planners and organizers too.

Where should we send pictures?

What an awesome time Sat. night. It was great seeing and speaking with everyone, but did not get the time to speak with all.
Thanks to all who put this together, its amazing that 20 years has went by but some conversations picked up just like we were still on "the bricks".

See ya,
Air Whit

I just would like to say thanks to the reunion committee for the awesome job they did planning the reunion. I really enjoyed seeing everyone. The only thing I did not enjoy was my drive back to Florida the next day after only 3.5 hours of sleep. My normal 11 hour drive took 16 hours to do thanks to terrible weather combined with bumper to bumper traffic and accidents in every state. At least I made it home in one piece. I hope there will be one at 25 years, if there is I will definitely be flying down. Thanks Again..

Thanks for each and everyone that took part in getting the reunion together. Reunion committee, you guys and girls did an outstanding job. It was great seeing everyone and meeting their spouses. As Jeff G. said thanks for a trip down memory lane!

Thanks to all of you who worked so hard, everything was so nice.It was so good to see all of my FFA buddies again, that is where all of my high school memories are, since I spent all of my 4 yrs. on the ag. hall even when I was supposed to be somewhere else!I'm not even sure where some of those places were.haha.Looking forward to 25,but i'm pretty sure i'll have to be in jeans next time it's against my religion to wear a dress twice in 5 yrs.!and to those of you who may have wondred, no I didn't have my long johns on under it,although I thought about it!
By the way I had a thought, next time we should invite 1 family member of each classmate we have lost, what do you think?

I'm sorry I couldn't make the reunion but I wanted to thank everyone for the pictures and their efforts in putting this site together. Judging from the photos, it looks like the committee did an outstanding job and everyone had a blast. I hope we do a 25th!

Just wanted to let everyone know to keep Angie Mewborn in your thoughts and prayers. She lost her daughter last night to a tragic auto accident. Miranda was a student at South Lenoir. We love you Angie.

Kim Smith Strong posted this announcement:  I am sure you all are aware by now that our classmate Angie Mewborn Tyndall has lost her daughter Miranda to a terrible tragedy last week. We are keeping her in our thoughts daily. We, some of Angie's classmates want to do something really nice. Some have brought up some good ideas. Such as planting a tree that would include a bronze plaque at the Nature Center, or a brick for the Nature Center, possibly purchasing a swing, maybe a scholarship fund for a future SL student with the same interest, all done in her memory. If you have any ideas please submit them...to whom I don't know..Renee Morris Outlaw was the first to mention the idea and others have just gotten on board...there are so many ideas we could do and if NL class of "88 each donated $20 boy we could do something amazing....let us all come together for our classmate Angie Mewborn Tyndall in this time of need...and if you happen to think of her please say a little prayer.
