31st Reunion

Do you remember our 31st class reunion was a great success?

Let me take you back to that week-end...

  • Reunion committee started to arrive at the Senior Citizen Hall, our Old Public Library, at 4 p.m., Friday.
  • Head Chef Bruce started the hibachi and cooked our onolicious dinner with the help of Wade, Peter, and Jeffrey.
  • Inside the hall, Frances, Bernie, and JoAnn were setting up.  Jessie made lollipop roses for our table decorations.
  • Bruce, our dedicated loving president was our MC and welcomed everyone.  After the blessing of food by Gary, we ate our onolicious dinner.  As we socialized with each other...stories, pictures, and more hana batta days stories....you could hear the laughter throughout the hall.
  • Our talented classmates:   Bernie and Matty danced hula, Doug and Luka serenaded us with their beautiful voices, Bruce and Irene did the twist....Bruce even went down llllloooowww.
  • Frances won the Trivia Time contest with a score of 15.
  • Mrs. Helen Fujie and Mr. Stanley Oshima was our faculty guests.
  • At 10 p.m. a few classmates went knocking at their classmates door....Marla and George joined us.
  • Early Saturday morning, a few had breakfast at Canoe's, the old Tanigawa's....some classmates didn't make it because either they needed their beauty sleep or had to remedy their hangover.
  •  Then we met at the Cavendish Golf Course for a round of golf but only played four holes because of the heavy rain.
  • At 7:00 p.m. we had a small group meet at Hotel Lanai for a few drinks and pupus.  George told a hilarious story about his fishing trip turning into a hunting episode.
  • Sunday morning we had our last get-together at the Old Tanigawa's for breakfast.  We had a great time chatting that we almost ate lunch, too.
