32nd Class Reunion

Our 32nd Class Reunion and 50th Birthday Bash

This year was a better turn out by our classmates and family.  Bringing back some memories:

  • Saturday morning at 8, we met at the Old Tanigawa's for breakfast...new faces, Sharen, Larry, Sol, Gareth, and Audrey.
  • After breakfast, we met at the Cavendish Golf Course.  We had 17 golfers and 4 teams....it took us 2 hours to play only two holes.  It was the best time we had on our old golf course.  Matty couldn't stop laughing because she could not  hit the ball after three strikes, so she suggested we play baseball at the next class reunion.  Frances wanted to cheat by using her tee to hit her ball while on the fairway.  Sharen had a beautiful swing but only to find her ball at the same spot.
  • At 5 o'clock in the evening, we met at the Senior Citizen Hall.  It was nice to see Stacey and his family.
  • While Douglas, Stacey, and Sol serenaded us, Luka, Bernie, and Matty danced the hula for us.
  • Sharen bought a cake to celebrate our 50th birthday.....thank you Sharen.
  • Sol shared two alcoholic drinks with us and a few of us had lemon/lime juice.  Do you remember what two parts of the world he got his drinks from?  N' which one was made out of deer penis?
  • We had so much socializing that we didn't leave until 2 in the morning.
  • Sunday morning we met at the Hulopo'e Court at Manele Bay Hotel for breakfast.  We wore our class T-shirts and a lot of hotel guests said that we didn't look our age.  Wow.....we look so young!!!  Was it the Lanai water or the dust on our face when we picked pine every summer?
  • After breakfast, a few of us took a journey to Lanai Hale.  Half of the Hale, was wet and slippery, and the other part was dry and dusty.  What an adventurous trip.
  • For dinner, we went to visit Sol and his student campers at Manele Beach.  Sol made his onolicious Samin Noodles Stir Fry.
  • The two-days were filled with good food, lots of socializing and great companionship!!

On June 8th, Tracy, Papo, Gareth, Bernie, and Wade met at JoAnn's house for dinner and "Scofield's Story Hour".  Tracy is still a good story teller...we laughed until our stomach ached.  Side line joke....Tracy couldn't find his keys.

FUN......FUN.....FUN.....FUN.....FUN.....FUN.....FUN.....FUN.....FUN.....FUN.....FUN.....FUN.....FUN.....FUN.....FUN.....
