Robert L. Bell Sr.

Robert Lenoir Bell Sr. was born August 31, 1945 in Laramie, to Lenoir Bell, and Irma Klink Bell. He attended Laramie High school and in 1963 after graduation served in the Wyoming National Guard until 1969. Bob was married to Rojean Gaskell Payne of Laramie, they had two boys Robert and Richard, as well as a daughter Rae Lynn. He and older brother John bought their first business in 1967 when they purchased Laramie Beverage. They went on from there to create several successful businesses in Laramie, and at his passing was co-owner of Glacier Ice and Bell Leasing.

Bob was a public servant who spent 16 years as a Laramie city councilman. He also was a life long member of B.P.O.E, and over 35 years as a member of the Loyal Order of Moose and Cowboy Joe Club. He was instrumental in bringing Stadium of Fire to Laramie in 1990 and was a founding proponent and advocate for the Wyoming Territorial Park. He spent several years as Chairman of the Laramie Jubilee Days committee. In his later years Bob was a loyal follower of Cowgirl basketball.

Bob enjoyed Harley Davidson motorcycles (HOG member) and spent his time away from work riding all over the country, he was for several years an annual attendee at The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. He was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed driving at The Richard Petty Driving experience. Bob had a warm smile and a great sense of humor.

Bob is survived by the love of his life, Sue Morgan her daughter Cindy and grandson Justin Mullen. His older brother John of Laramie. His three children; Robert L. Bell Jr. of Lehi Utah, Richard L. Bell and his wife Katie of Issaquah, Washington, and daughter Rae Lynn Benson and her husband T.G. of Cibolo Texas. Bob also has 5 grandchildren Rhiannon Sorensen and her husband Jason, Mackenzie Zamarripa and her husband Josh, Karsan Benson, Aaron and Madeline Bell.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Baker Street.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Burial will follow at Greenhill Cemetery.
