Dora Loftin

Dora Loftin, 61, Rawlins, formerly of Laramie, died Saturday, May 20, 
2006, at Ivinson Memorial Hospital. She was born Nov. 20, 1944, in Laramie, the daughter of Daniel and Melinda (Martinez) Candelaria Sr.  She was raised and educated in Laramie, graduating from Laramie High School. She married Raymond E. Loftin on Oct. 10, 1970, in Laramie. The couple lived in Laramie until moving to Rawlins in 1983, where Raymond worked for the Union Pacific Railroad. She was a devoted wife and mother and will be missed by her family and friends. She was a member of St. Joseph?s Catholic Church in Rawlins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, her parents and a brother, LeRoy. She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Raymond of Rawlins; her daughter, Kristie Loftin of Laramie; five brothers, David Candelaria Sr. and Larry Candelaria, both of Laramie, Daniel Candelaria Jr. and his wife, Merry, and Rick Candelaria and his wife, Jennifer, all of Casper; and Bernard Candelaria and his wife, Shari of Phoenix; seven sisters, Mary Candelaria, Sylvia Candelaria, Susan Candelaria, Kim Candelaria and Carmen Boese and her husband, Steve, all of Laramie, Rosalie Candelaria of Evanston and Laurie Cruz and her husband, Danny of Salina, Calif. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews and many loving friends. Vigil and Rosary services will be Thursday, May 25, 2006, at 7 p.m. at St. Laurence O?Toole Catholic Church. Funeral liturgy will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Laurence O?Toole Catholic Church, with the Rev. Fr. James Schumacher, celebrant. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at Montgomery-Stryker Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Kiefer M. Candelaria, Rick Candelaria, David Michael Candelaria, Danny Cruz, Daniel J. Cruz and Andrew Casados. Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Candelaria Jr., David Candelaria, Larry Candelaria, Steven Boese and Bernard Candelaria. Memorials may be made to the Meredith and Jeanne Ray Cancer Center, 255 N. 30th, Laramie, WY 82072. Services are under the direction of Montgomery-Stryker Funeral Home.
