George Russell Carpenter was born 3 Oct 1945.  He passed away 1 Sep 2006.

He apparently lived in Duluth, Minnesota at the time of his passing.

George Russell Carpenter, passed away Sept. 1, 2006. He was born in Evanston, Wyoming Oct. 3, 1945. Russ spent his life being a scholar and a lover of nature and books. After graduating from Laramie High School, he attended the University of Wyoming completing his BA. After serving in the U.S. Air Force, Russ graduated from Southern Illinois University with an MA in Sociology and finalized his education with a Ph.D. from the University of Indiana in Social Philosophy. He was a talented writer, artist and teacher to all those who met him. If Russ wanted to know something, he researched and read everything he could find out about it. Then he shared his knowledge with others. Russ had an amazing ability to create beauty and art out of anything and will be missed by his wife and his stepchildren, Beth Anderson Carpenter and Zachary, Jacob and Zoey Driskell, all of Duluth, Minnesota; his mother, Ann Carpenter of Las Vegas; brother, Barry Carpenter; and sisters, Becky Lewis, Lynda Marie Smith, Shauna Zobel and KarryLu Carpenter. MEMORIAL SERVICE:will be held at a later date. Services entrusted to the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 624-5200.
