Bing Leo was a good guy. One of the easiest guys there was to get along with. He was always interested in what I had to say and in what I was doing. Good athelete. Had a running gate that was all his own and he could put those yards behind him.

I have always been sad that he didn't want to join in with the class after high school. I will remember him as being a tall, quiet kind of guy that always had something good to say. Easy to be around.

(I thought the typo was kind of funny. We are getting up there, but I'll bet Bing made it a little past 1912.)

Here's to you Bing

I too was saddened to read about Bing.  Have wondered over the years where he was.

I so enjoyed Bing's company.  We used to run together up 9th street hill during track practice.  He always had a ready smile and was ever positive about life.  I remember when he had a brush with death due to some type of blockage in his intestine.  He just dropped out of sight after high school (at least to me).  Hope he had a great life.

I was Bing's best man at his wedding in Washington DC.  His mother had asked me to give a toast from his father at the reception as he and could not attend.  I have some vague memories of that time and am sorry I can't state with certainty the dates.  I do remember that he had a Dodge Charger which I was able to drive after he and his bride left on their honeymoon - I think in the Islands.  I stayed in DC for a couple of days and hung out with his wife's friends then flew back to where ever I was living at the time.  After that I lost track of him.  Mrs. Leo was a friend of my mother's but she rarely talked about Bing shortly after the wedding.

Bing was so quiet, but radiated kindness to all of us classmates.

I am equally saddened by the loss of Bing. We were very close friends all the way through high school and then he just fell off the map. We played a lot of basketball together. We are losing too many people.
