Barbara Butler Walker reported in January of 2009 that Donna passed away 21 March 2000. Donna was an editor for the Portland Oregonian newspaper and was a writer Mrs. Nelson would have been proud of. She fought a long battle with breast cancer and lost that battle 21 March of 2000. She and Ikey lived in Sandy, Oregon, where she passed away. They raised two sons, Roman and David. She was a good friend and is missed by all whose lives she touched.
