Can't believe it has already been a year since I reconnected with alot of you on this website. The summer is a busy time for all of us but we travel and watch my youngest play softball. These 14 year old girls won the Utah state little league championship for the 3rd year in a row and for the 2nd year in a row we are headed for Tucson, AZ for the regional tournament. We have teams from Alaska, Montana, Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Northern and Southern CA and 2 teams from Arizona ready to play. I have had very little time to spend on the website or chat nights so I will make up later. I'll sign on Thursday and let you know our standings! We have a 10 hour drive from St George on Wednesday and play the first game on Thursday night. Who would have thought that softball games in the middle of the desert in the middle of August would be a good idea? We are ready this year! Wet rally towels, water bottles and lots of Gatorade! Ash-Kenzee will put one over the fence for ya! She is clean-up batter this year and is hitting amazing. Wish us luck! I will let you know how we do. We have a scrimmage game tonight against one of the varsity high school teams. I'll let you know! It sure is fun to brag when you have someone that deserves it!

Hi Everyone,

Just bought our reunion tickets. I am so looking forward to seeing everyone!

Also wanted to mention to Jeff and other fans of the bands from our high school days that Peter Frampton will be in concert at The Pearl at The Palms on September 18. The tickets are cheap like the ones at Thomas and Mack except The Pearl is a wonderful concert venue-great sound and much smaller. We have our tickets already! I'll be on the look out for other EHS alumni.

Yea,,laura, Frampton, that is a good one. Back in the day a few of us went to see him. We pitched in and paid for one ticket,,then that guy went in and the rest of us waited outside by a door we told all the people sitting out on the grass that the door was going to open.. And it did and tons of us rushed inside,,security could only get a few we found seats and had a great time. Ok remember i was 16 or 17 at the time. Look at the years that have gone by and the change. The weekend you are talking about, I will be preforming a wedding.. Ok tell me there is no God..Can you believe me doing a wedding??

Well, woke up this morning with a wine glass in my hand.
Whose wine? What wine? Where the hell did I dine?
Must have been a dream I don't believe where I've been.
Come on, let's do it again.

Do you...you, feel like I do?
How'd ya feel?
Do you...you, feel like I do?

My friend got busted, just the other day.
They said,"Don't walk, don't walk, don't walk away."
Drove him to a taxi, bent the boot, hit the bag.
Had to play some music, wonder why's he [brag or drag].

Do you...you, feel like I do?
How'd ya [turns from mic, can't catch it]?
Do you...you, feel like I...

Do you...you, feel like I do?
Yes ya do.
Do you...you, feel like I do?

Champagne for breakfast and a Sherman in my hand.
Peached up, Peached Ale, never fails.
Must have been a dream I don't believe where I've been.
Come on, let's do it again.

Do you...you, feel like I do?
How'd ya feel?
Do you...you, feel like I...

Do you feel like we do?
Do you feel like we do?
Oh, that's true.
Do you feel like we do?
Get back.
Do you feel..do you feel like we do?

Oh baby do you feel?
Oh baby do you feel, feel like we do?
Do you feel...do you feel...like we do?
I want to thank you.
Do you feel like we do?
That's alright, that's alright to feel you'd like,
Feel you'd like, a good time.
We'll goto bed and good night.
Good night, good night, good night, good night, good night.

Happy Birthday, Joe...Laura...Wayne and all of the other August babies! Whew! There are a lot of you! :-)
Ashley, congrats on the new grandbaby! Wow, it looks like you've had your quota of the emotional experiences for the year. You'll have to do some typical manly things in order to keep up your jock reputation! lol
Welcome, Mr. Foutz!
Angie, I'm cheering for your girls! I bet you're having a blast going to these games....I'm sure you yell the loudest! Remember how much fun we had in the stands at football games? Well, you were down on the field in your devil suit, with Terilea and the other cheerleaders encouraging all of us in the stands to yell! Fun, fun times...yet we were all in such a hurry to grow up and leave.
Jeff M...it's awesome that you are performing a wedding. I can't think of anyone better. You have a heart so full of love for people and our Lord! Way to go, buddy! :-)
Regina, thank you for all of the updates and hard work you put into this site.
Life has been crazy, so I've been MIA. I'm going to try and be on the Thursday night chat!
Love you all and can't wait to see you

Southern Oregon (Gods country as they say) is beautiful if any of you are unfamiluar with it. Sure is alot more to look at than tan desert..It was like coming home when we moved here. I spent alot of my childhood in Oregon.

Okay, all you classmates that live in the Seattle area, you need to go watch my stud muffin daughter play ball!

I spent 9 days in Tucson, AZ with our 14 year olds softball team for the Little League Western Regional Tournament. We played teams from Alaska, Washington, Montana, Oregon, Northern Cal, Southern Cal, and Arizona. Last year we won the state tournament and went to Tucson but only came home with 1 win of 4 games. This year--totally different. We swept the tournement! No losses and we won the western regionals. Two days later the team was in Kirkland, WA playing in the world series. Can you believe it? I know I am excited and I am bragging but this is sooooo cool. There are 5 american teams, west (us), east, central, south and the host team from Kirkland, WA. There are 5 foreign teams as well. Italy, Philipines, Asia, Canada and Latin America.

We played yesterday and got killed! We don't accept that too well either! The central team from Ohio are good. Until the tournament, there record was 58-0. They had not one run scored against them. We did fix that though! We lost 11-1. Even my kid was bawling and she is tough! We played today against Italy and won 8-4. Of course, bragging rights go to my Kenzee. Hits a double and scores 2 rbi's. How can I help it? She is clean up hitter #4. She plays first base too.

Kirt and I had to stay here in St George until Friday. We are flying out then to watch the last 2 days of play. We do watch on the internet though. We let Kenzee know that this is a milestone and a chance of a lifetime. They got to tour the Univ of Washington's girls softball locker room today. It was a pump-up. U of W were the 2009 NCAA softball champs. Wish I could be there.

Any of you close by, try to go and watch. Free admission. I have my oldest daughter Staci, there and she looks alot like me. Kenzee is number 13 and a pretty tall kid. Go to www.jrsoftballworldseries.com for schedules if you are interested.

Thanks for listening and play ball!

Angie

Thanks for all the support. Bad news on our game today! Lost 18-1. The other team knew right where to put that ball. Team needs to learn mental toughness. We are 1-2 in pool play so we aren't last place but there are some really good softball players out there. Hoping tomorrows game goes better. Will keep you posted.

Amy let me know if you can make it. I can have my oldest daughter meet up with you. You guys are great.

Ang

Well, I finally have a minute to fill you in on the out come of the Jr Softball World Series. Came home from work thursday night and my husband says, "You need to go to Kirkland and set those girls straight!" Within 4 hours I was in Vegas and on a plane to Seattle. What a beautiful place. I was told it wasn't like that in the winter but the summers are sure nice. The team was 1-3 when I got there, gave them a big pep talk (I an kinda the team mom) and they ended up winning 2 more. We weren't eligible to play in the championship game but we did end up taking 5th place. That is 5th place in the world series of junior girls softball. That is incrediable. Girls got in at 6:00 am and went to school. They are being honored at the high school tomorrow and then the middle school on Friday. The city and mayor are honoring them on Wednesday as well. This kind of thing will pass by too quickly. I make sure my daughter treasures every second of it. I took it too lightly when I was younger! Of course, I didn't do what they have done.

Thanks for reading. Look forward to seeing all of you in about 2 months.

Later, Angie
