Fine. I miss planning your reunion though. You guys frequently made my day. :) Just finished a reunion last weekend and have three more coming up in the next few weeks. Then I can relax for few months.

Wendy, i don't know how you do it, school, kids, reunions, climb Aztec ruins? WONDERWOMAN!!

Wendy Cubbison (Huybrechts)

Haha...thanks, Chris! But I'm no different from any other working parent!

Back to the traffic issue, I live in Chicago-- I win. 8 miles home from work 1 hour 10 minutes ( 7 beers)

Chris, I must admit my mind went straight to the gutter as I read that first line as well. :)

Jay, Only 7? Are you slowing down in your old age? HAHA

Crazy trucker on the loose!!!

Lee, when's the next haircut day? i wanna get in on that. i'll bring the boys too.

I'd kill for NoVA traffic. Georgians have no idea how to drive, and they all get on the road at the same time!

Carey Blair (Albrecht)

I know I just appreciate Chris C. running into my schmucky ex-boyfriend from college with his truck and totaling my ex's car. At the scene of the accident, apparently they got to talking and when Chris told him he was from Leesburg, my ex said, "I dated someone that lived in Leesburg." That is the funniest story I think I ever heard. What comes around goes around, I always say. Thanks again, Chris!

Haircut days are every Friday and the price is "free". BUT you get what you pay for...

Shannon Bohince

We all know you didn't pay for that cut. Just ask Jimmy "Tommy Boy" Spencer.

Bill, didn't I tell you Atlanta traffic is the worst!! So glad I moved out of there last year!

08/28/08 08:51 AM #1047

Joe Mullins

Anybody heard from Jason? He's not still at Tom's is he?

08/28/08 09:12 AM #1048

Brady Chapman

Last seen stumbling down Lime Kiln Rd I believe.

And the day it took my wife 2 hours to drive 11 miles from Buckhead to Vingings was the day she "suggested" it was time to move from Atlanta.

Definitely the worst traffic anywhere.

Janie Hott (Kintz)

Ok... get this... Can't beat it when you are driving down the road and the car next to you is an adult, professional male trying to drive while holding a porn magazine on his steering wheel. No lie... left hand on the wheel with the porn magazine and right hand... Well, I knew where his right hand was. Haha!

Amy- u got all this started and u disappeared? u ok?

Brady- i know Lime Kiln rd. why is that familiar?

Carey- i just got to get this story straight (for my ins. agent Mr. Chapman), it was Janie (a school bus) that hit an F350, which hit the crappy ex b/f and SANDWICHED him into my trailer. it didn'y hurt me or my trailer, but u shoulda seen the car.

HOTLANTA- u all said it.

Jay- when did they start making a 7 pack?

Lee- i'm sure u got some good stories about "on the way to the fire", cuz i've seen some real STUPID stuff!

08/28/08 11:18 AM #1051

Wendy Cubbison (Huybrechts)

Lee - I have to give you firemen (firepeople? firepersons?) props for the calls you get. A bunch of you showed up yesterday to release my three year old from the bathroom. She accidentally locked herself in there. I tried everything before calling - the little key, kicking down the door, taking the knob off. Nothing worked. But four of you showed up and used some rather large pieces of equipment to open the door. And were kind enough afterwards to let my kids sit in the fire truck. I'm sure this is nothing compared to some of the other weird calls you get (and we'd love it if you shared some of those!).

The 911 dispatcher asked me if I locked her in the bathroom on purpose! I told him no but she just turned three and there ARE days when I would love to lock her in a room! ;-)

Carey Blair (Albrecht)

Chris C.,
Thanks for clarifying the story. It was hard to hear at Shenanigans. Either way, still very funny. (I'm glad you and your truck didn't get hurt).

Wendy,
I have a neighbor that actually locks their son (he's now 6) in his room. They put a lock on the outside of his door. Kinda scary when it gets to that point. Highschool should be fun for that family.

Believe it or not Chris, in Chicago they sample alcohol in the stores ( yes check snopes, it is true) so the one for the road occurs prior to actually being on the road. That and the summers are about all I care for up here.

Brendhan Pelot (Pelot)

Hotlanta traffic is awesome....if you live downtown! :-)

I traded a 3 hours of communting each day in DC for 35 minutes of commuting down here. We are getting ready to move though so it will probably bump up to 45 min.

Seriously, has anyone heard from Jason? I don't think I've seen anyone that drunk since we were in our early 20s!

Walter, why does Partlows ring a bell...where was it?

08/28/08 10:03 PM #1056

Walter Yarbrough

Looks like there were at least two Partlow's

The one I am thinking of was right in the center of Aldie - so they sponsored Dwayne's and my baseball team. The Aldie Cougars if I recall correctly.

But it also looks there was another one in Ashburn, right off the bike trail: Gatorade

We probably used both to buy booze, I expect :)

Traffic. Yeah. i remember traffic. Don''t miss those days. I'm going to Dharmsala India soon for 4 months, and then on to Korea for a year. I'll let you know what traffic is like there.

Jim, have a fun trip. What are your plans while there?
