We just got word that the Class of 1968 lost another classmate today.  Roy Nation passed away this morning.  He lives in Eatonton, Ga.   Please keep his family and friends in your prayers.  Keep the Class of 68 in your prayers too, they have had a tough time this week.

Hey everyone!  I hope you have enjoyed this beautiful day.  Just a note to let you know that Mike and Phylis Scarborough's son Adam and his family are in Japan.  Their unit was to fly out but Adam's wife is expecting any day now and she could not fly.  Please keep them all in your prayers.  Please pray that as soon as the baby is born the family can get out of Japan.  Thank you all!

Happy Spring!!  Where is everybody?  I miss hearing from you.  I wanted to let you know several churches in the area are having a Round Robin Revival.  Last night we went to Millstone (David Burt's church)  I saw Johnny Glenn and Joyce Bell Black there.  It was good to see them.  Tonight we go to Bethany off the Elberton Rd.  Derreck Paul will be preaching.  On Tuesday we go to Glade Baptist and David Burt will be preaching.  I wish some of you could come and hear him.  You would be proud of your classmate :)  On Wednesday we meet at Clouds Creek Church (My church) and Jim Olds will be preaching.  I hope everyone has a wonderful week.  Keep in touch!

Hi Everyone--

I just heard that Oglethorpe schools were on hard lock down due to the Athens cop killer search.  I am prayerful that all of you and your families will remain safe until they find the guy.

Peggy, the round robbin sounds wonderful, wish I could be there!

My health has slowly improved and I feel blessed I am able to walk as well as I do.  Still can't do long distances and I have to be careful with balance.  It has been a long 15 months but I feel so blessed compared to the alternative.

I recently had that "milestone" birthday and appreciated hearing from some of you.  Back when we were in school that number seemed so old!  At least mentally I don't feel that number and knowing y'all we are all still very young at heart!

The dogwoods and azaleas should be popping soon, may everyone enjoy nature's beauty and the spring spirit that is upon us!

I think of y'all often!

Hi all,

Sorry I have been away for awhile but work has me crazy.  One of my co-workers is not able to come back to work so I have been working some of her shifts and all of mine.  I am not use to working 12 hour shifts days then switching and doing 12 hours at night plus my 8hrs -- makes for a LONGGGGGGGGG week.

Is everyone ok with the shooting -- sorry this is the first I heard about it. Did they catch the guy/s? 

Happy Belated Birthdays to all that I missed and Happy Birthday to all those that are coming up.  I sure miss everyone. 

Time to have lunch and get ready for work again.  Seems like I leave at the hospital ER.

Thank you Peggy for keeping us informed on the news.  I didn't know that Derreck Paul was a preacher. 

I am doing so much better now since I had my surgery in Nov.  I am begining to walk more normal now.

I hope everyone has a great spring and summer this year!  The Spring is my favorite time of the year.

We are doing some shows at festivals during the next few weeks.  We just created a Facebook page, Nature's Whimsies, where you can see the schedule and a album of some of our creations.  You can view it without a Facebook page.  Howaever, if you have a page and like what you see, would appreciate you giving it a "like" to help get some exposure of the new page out there.

The crafts are fun and have been well received.  I am sure you can imagine how popular the "Big Chicken" birdhouse is in the Marietta area, and it has been sent all over the country for gifts!  And, there is no telling how many Coke can birdhouses are in office spaces in the Atlanta Coke headquarters building!  Other favorite beverage cans are also available--for those of you who know my brother Bill I bet you can guess what brand he has!!!

Hi, everybody:  Just received a pleasant and surprise call from Janet Argo Jacobson.  She is coming home June 10th (arr.late night) and will be leaving on the 20th.  She has already committed to two family events on June 11th and 16th (her Mom's 89th birthday).   She wants to see as many classmates as possible one of the other days.  It would be nice to have one big gathering.  Jane

Thanks Jane for posting that.  I had cataract surgery on my rt eye yesterday but am still coming home LOL.  Vision is off cause my glasses aren't right til my eye heals.

Hey, Janet:  Sorry to hear your vision is not well enough for new glasses.  I went through that same problem several years ago and it about drove me crazy.  As I recall I had to wait a couple or three months before getting a new prescription.  Good luck with your vision and I hope yours heals or settles quicker than mine did.  I was working, had to read a lot and my prescription I had was way off what I needed.

 Yo, ho, Charlie B:  Looks like you wish may come true.  Janet A. Robinson is in town at her Mom's. She wants to get together with as many of us that can meet Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday and fellowship at a restaurant around Athens.   She did not specify a restaurant so suggestions are needed. She has tried to get into our class website and it kicks her out. Then, she called me and that is why I am contacting all of you.  She wants to hear from everybody and you may call her at 715-826-1009 (her cell).  Tomorrow (Thursday) is her Mom's birthday and she will be busy with a family party. If you can go out for lunch or dinner call her.  She told me if you call and she doesn't answer you may leave a message and she will return calls.  Hope to see all of you in the next 3-4 days.  Stay cool. Perhaps the more of us get together we will ward off some of the gosh awful heat.  (I hate to sweat!) Jane
