Ok -- just to let you all know -- my family has something planned every night I am there and won't tell me what we are doing or where we are going.  I saw Tim's message about the party so looks like yall might have to party without me because I have no idea where I will be that night. LOL

Merry Christmas ALL

I arrive on the 27th and come back to Tx on the 3rd.

I meant to have posted this as soon as I returned from Steve Woods' visitation at Lord and Stephens.  For those who do not have Steve's parent's address, it is:

Sam and Eddie Mae Woods   29 Sam Woods Road     Stephens, Ga. 30667

They were grateful to see many of Steve's classmates.

Hello Everyone,

I am truly sorry that I could not make it Tuesday night.  When I arrived at the airport Monday, there stood Mother and all 4 of my sisters !!! I was only expecting Mary.  We stayed in Atlanta until Wed.

Dorsey Anne got sick, then Martha, so our plans for the rest of the week were "lets play it by ear".  By Sat., Mother was getting sick.  I didn't want to get around any of you and make you all sick as well. Martha and Mother are still sick.

Although all of that happened, I still had a great time with my family.  I am now back in Sugar Land (arrived today) tired and feel like I am trying to come down with what they had.  I hope not as I have to go back to work Wed.

I am glad yall got together anyway and had a great time.  Just sorry I could not join you but as I said before, I had no idea what they had planned until I got there.  Every day was a surprise.

I hope each and every one of you have a safe and healthy New Year.  May God Bless us all.

Janet

suppose to be in the 20's here tomorrow night -- that is COLD for Houston and it's been raining so if it freezes -- these people do not know how to drive on ice LOL.  glad I am off.

Thanks for the pic on facebook Tim.  Love to see snow just don't like to be in it LOL -- don't like being cold.

My family is still sick -- sure hope mother doesn't end up in the hospital.  Will keep yall posted.

I would appreciate it if everyone would add my niece Jen Fleming Evans to your prayer list.  She is in Athens Regional Hospital ICU fighting for her life.  They are going hour to hour with her.  She developed pneumonia and now has congestive heart failure.  The docs told my sister that only 10% of her heart was working.

She was put in the hospital the other day and was moved to ICU Sat night. Sunday morning Martha called and said they had called everyone in that was there -- they thought they were losing her.  I spoke to Jean ( Jen's mother) today and she said she is holding her on and doing better than she was yesterday.  She is only 48.

Please pray for her and the rest of my family.  It is very hard for me being so far away but they told me not to come home unless they said otherwise.

Update on Jen:

She was transferred to Emery Hospital in Atlanta Friday.  Please keep her in your prayers.  I am told that she has a clot in her heart.

Tina has set up a website through Caringbridge where you can follow her progress and leave her messages if you like.

here is the information:  www.caringbridge.org

on the right side you will see "visit a website" -- there you will type: jennieflemingevans and click on the website button. You can sign the guestbook and leave her messages that she will be able to read.

If I hear anything else I will let yall know.

Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers.  This has been really hard on my family, especially Jean and her family.  They have been thru so much already.

Janet

Update on Jen:

According to what I am told, the "team of doctors" have found the right "cocktail" of medications that seem to be working for Jen.  Please keep her and the rest of my family in your thoughts and prayers. This is very hard on all of us.

Update on Jen:

She was able to walk down the hall yesterday at Emory - how far I don't know - but she walked.   Today they are running all kinds of test on her from what I read on Caringbridge.org.

Keep those prayers coming.

Update on Jen:

She went home from Emory on Firday with the "Chaney Vest" -- it's a defibulator that shocks her heart if it is not performing right -- or something like that.  She has to wear it all the time from what I understand.

Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers and a special thanks to Bobby and Tim for writing Jen a note on Caringbridge.  It meant a lot to me and I am sure it meant a lot to her.  She really enjoys reading what everyone writes.

I will give everyone another update as I find out more.  Just thank God she is still with us.

Janet
