Dan,

I am thinking of starting a write-in campaign for Penn & Teller. What ya think?

10/01/08 09:02 PM #335

Danny Beck

Penn & Teller....I could jump on that bandwagon. It would be nice to have some professional comedians in office instead of professional politicians that are comical.

Very happy with the debate tonight and am breathing a sigh of relief. What about you Lori?

As for celebrating our 50th's in Vegas, sounds like fun. I have never been there. Wayne has always tried to get me to go with him to Vegas for business.

How many of us have birthdays next year?? My 50th will be in October 2009 and my last 40-something birthday is coming up! How fast this decade has passed, I cannot believe....:(

What is the point of the VP debate? The debates so far have been nothing but "canned" responses. Snoozers!!!! I am looking forward to the Senate Debate here in Minnesota on Sunday. Independent Dean Barkley is going to have a grand time tearing into the Republican and Democrat.

My 50th will be December 2009. I am looking forward to #50. I am making plans to have a nice celebration for my 50th. Invites will be sent out early.

Have a good weekend everyone.

vegas with you guys anyway I've always wanted to go there

Lori Godlove (Goering)

Christie I thought it was GREAT!!! Palin held her own. Not positive at all about the "BAILOUT" though.

Oh I don't foresee a 50th birthday for me. But I will certainly join the rest of you on your big 50. I am not having another birthday. Vegas in March or April anyone?

10/04/08 10:00 AM #340

Danny Beck

Lori, you can come to Vegas even though you will never meet the age requirement.

Don't we get our AARP cards next year? As long as I get Senior discounts at restaurants, I'll be happy.

Have great weekend!!!!

Danny,
Thanks for the Election 2008 - that was fun! One great thing about getting older is that we also get wiser!?!
Take care,
Kim

Christina Haltom (Farrar)

My sincere condolences to Rocky and his family. :) It is so hard to lose a parent.

Being it is breast cancer awareness month, I have been wondering how Kathy is doing! Does anyone know? If you see or talk to Kathy, please let her know that she is always in my thoughts and prayers. AND let us all know how she is doing if you will!

McCain is winning!! :) You think SEW Class of '78 is maybe the political microcosm of the country? Hee. I can only wish!

Snoopy is running neck and neck with McCain in our Class Poll.

I love it!!!!

10/07/08 01:13 PM #346

Lori Godlove (Goering)

Snoopy is not even close, nor is your Nader fellow. So Dan, don't waste your vote on him- put it towards McCain and Palin. Our leaders for the next 4 years.

Well almost time for the debates again. I have to admit I hated it when my parents watched this kind of stuff. But now I enjoy it. I guess I will join the rest of old people when you turn 50.

Speaking of which. We are going to have a get together at Main Street in Milo on October 18. Everyone come and join.

Christie, I saw Kathy at John's visitation. More test, she is very strong. I know you have to remember Mark Bishop. His wife also has breast cancer. She did have surgery and had been going through the radiation. They had a benefit for her on Saturday evening. I didn't get the chance to go. I didn't know about it until Friday, and Kevin's daughter and son-in-law are back before they go to Japan for 3 years, and I had planned a family get together. But I wish I could have gone.

Your pictures of Emma are so cute! She is a little doll! I am sure she is everything you have waited for.

Half hour into the debate- and I don't see straight answers from either Obama or McClain. Am I missing something? Dan, I may need to be enlightened on Nader.

10/07/08 10:08 PM #349

Danny Beck

WHAT A SNOOZE-FEST!!!! These debates are not worth a second of my time. They are both full of crap with there carefully rehearsed answers.

Fellow classmates, please take a second and look at Ralph Nader's site.

http://www.votenader.org/

The two party system is not the way to go from this point on.

I am getting a NADER yard sign installed this week.

Christina Haltom (Farrar)

Lori!!!!! What has Dan done to you??!!! lol

And yes, Emma is everything and more that Wayne and I could have imagined in a daughter - she is such a sweetheart and so pretty. We love her to bits.

10/08/08 10:24 AM #351

Lori Godlove (Goering)

He hasn't done anything- it really wasn't a good debate.

10/08/08 01:36 PM #352

Christina Haltom (Farrar)

I agree, it was not a good debate, but are they ever?? That doesn't mean you should go vote for Nader! lol

Obama is soooo smooth and McCain just cannot compete with that. People tend to get caught up in the theater of it all and don't really read up on the issues and what the candidates stand for (or the parties).

I am thinking that Obama will win this election, but if that is what the country wants, that is what they will get.

10/08/08 01:36 PM #353

Christina Haltom (Farrar)

Thanks Lori for letting us know how Kathy is doing. Yes, she is one strong cookie and I know she will beat this!

10/08/08 09:38 PM #354

Lori Godlove (Goering)

Dan I know you may not believe this, but Christie, I am going to check out Nader.

10/08/08 11:38 PM #355

Danny Beck

Excellent, one classmate at a time. Christy, you are next.

www.votenader.org

Do yourself a favor and check it out. The two party system does not work.

10/09/08 08:42 AM #356

Curt Bregar

Well since Nader basically shifted the election to Bush 2000 I am for all those who support Nader instead of Obama!

The only good thing about the debates is Tina Fey's SNL skits.

10/09/08 06:06 PM #357

Lori Godlove (Goering)

Very interesting man, why haven't I paid attention before.

10/14/08 10:44 PM #358

Christina Haltom (Farrar)

Nope-nope Dan! I will not throw my vote away. I am voting for McCain - case closed! :)
