Lori Godlove (Goering)

I am checking into the City Hall to see availability. What does everyone think of the evening of July 3rd?

Ruth Bertrand (Hall)

I'm with you Terri. There's nothing better than a Friday 2:00 home game @ Wrigley Park, preferably on the 3rd base line brick wall. Sounds like I'm missing Chicago? Not really, just the Cubbies.

Hey Class of '78
The secretary just told me that the theme for the Milo Parade this year is "Wild Wild West" Let me know if you want me to look into issuing a float challenge on SEW's alumni website. Can you wear chaps with that leisure suite Dan?:)

Lori Godlove (Goering)

Hmmm, the Wild Wild West. Interesting. Jim are you going to ride your horse?

I am so proud of myself, I sent my first email to some of the members of the Iowa Legislators. (I am pretty sure I spelled that wrong) But I am still proud of myself. Hmmm, been looking for a hobby, maybe this is my calling.

I'll just wear the chaps.

I just got an e-mail from Carolyn and she said she does still write the Milo News and would be glad to put in a challenge so we should get pretty good coverage if we get something in the Record Herald and if Dianne puts something in the alumni newsletter.

Wild Wild West...thanks for the visual, Dan...

I am up for up. We need more responses, classmates. Who is ready to take the challenge?

Have a Good Easter everyone?

Always glad to provide the free thatre of the mind. Your mind created it, I just provided the indgredients.

Wild West, eh? I'll see what ideas I can come up with. We could all square dance through the whole parade since we become absolute masters of the dance in 5th and/or 6th grade. Still suffering from the trauma, I am.

Hope you all had a HAPPY EASTER

Danny, I think the square dancing would be excellent. Becky, do you think your dad could re-teach us. It has been a couple of years.

Becky Lundberg (King)

I'm sure we could all remember how to do a do-si-do or swing our partner with a little refresher. If nothing else, we could all dance to the Chicken Dance!! (now there's another visual for Dan in his chaps!) I'm just afraid if I'm trying to move on an object that is also moving that I'd fall off the side so we'll definitely want to keep it real simple!

Becky, pretty funny thought of Danny.

Lori - is there a way to get this message forum taken private?? It shows up on google - that is rather unnerving that all the world can read what we are talking about here on the SEW site. Has anyone else realized this fact? Thanks Lori.

04/21/09 02:29 PM #678

Lori Godlove (Goering)

There is a way, but I need to do more reading. Personally I don't mind if others read the message forum. The website is also posted on the SEW Alumni site. The most important thing is that they cannot see our addresses and phone numbers, nor look at our picutres. So that is a plus.

Is anyone out there anymore?

Whew, I was getting worried. Nice thunderstorm goin on right now. Robin Spence notified me- she really likes the website. She is on the SEW Alumni- so if you have any suggestions for her, you can contact on the SEW Alumni site.

Thoughts and prayers for Marcie. Her father passed away Thursday, April 23. Memorials may be given to either Hospice of Central Iowa or Milo Christian Union Church. Online condolences may be sent at www.overtonfunerals.com

Dan - wow, Head East!! (Flat as a Pancake - Never Been Any Reason). I haven't heard that name for several years but that's on some level sort of my "claim to fame." When I was court reporting, one of my co-workers married the then drummer of Head East, Steve Huston. When they got married, I played the piano for their wedding and the lead singer sang at the wedding. Nancy and Steve are divorced now, but I used to hear stories about their concerts. I hear their name every once in a while. Hope you enjoyed the concert!

What a wild weekend with rain and storms. We watched the movie "War of the Worlds" (Tom Cruise) on Friday night - after seeing that, all the lightning kind of creeped me out!! I saw on my way to work that Middle River is already out of its banks north of Indianola.
