Comments:

My mother died in November 2013. In January 2014 I saw an ad for the kind of job I had been doing overseas 1989-2003. Since August 2014 I have been librarian at the United Nations International School of Hanoi, one of only two official UN schools in the world. Moving to Vietnam and taking this job has rejuvenated me! I love being back in a school and I love Hanoi and I love the opportunities for travel. I also love guests, so everyone is invited to come visit me. I spend my summers at a cottage in the woods of New Hampshire. Unfortunately, this year I have to head back to Vietnam the weekend of the reunion. I will miss seeing everyone. (PS The address in my profile is my brother Jim's home, where I receive US mail.)

Debo,
Can I actually be in touch with you through this site? if so, can I please have your email? Then, perhaps we could be in touch more reliably. I had a call from Becky a few weeks ago and we had a long chat. She and David rented an apartment in New York City for a season, which financially precluded a trip to Florida this year. They came to FL about this time last year and visited me for a day. They got to see our house here and I took them on a tour of this amazing community where I live. they were staying at David's brother's in Daytona. I hoped they would come and stay with me for a week this winter. There is so much here to see and do that it can't be done justice in just a day. I am so busy! My calendar is chock full all the time. I keep telling myself that I should slow down some(after all- this retirement) but I have gotten so entrenched with so many groups(mostly related to the Methodist Church) that I hate to disappoint my new friends by quitting.it is somewhat strange though because many of my friends are here seasonally, just in the winter months and I always say, it's strange that half my friends move away for half the year. I do wish i were so lucky too that I could afford two places to live, one in the North to be closer to children and grandchildren, and one here to enjoy the winter months with no snow and ice. But I do feel blessed to live here. I was wondering yesterday about Annette and Andy. I know the place where Andy and I worked together moved their offices to Hartford.Somehow I think I remembered hearing that he and his wife moved back to where his wife was from, somewhere near Syracuse. Anyway, I would absolutely love to hear from you, but in the meanwhile I hope you have a very very happy birthday!
love you,
Jean Switzer McGrath
