Dear Classmates,
Here's a chance to make a difference. Steve Hernandez and I are in the process of establishing the '79 Alumni Scholarship. We still need a few more classmates who live in the Greater Manchester area and who are willing to become board members. If you are interested or have any questions, please personal message Steve. Now is the perfect time to be an agent of change! More information on how to donate will be posted in the future.
Thanks,
Margo

I'm so jealous! Sounds like so much fun and I was working that night - so not fair! Let's definitely do this again. Maybe we could post a quarterly event after the reunion to really keep those "let's get together" promises.

I got an e-mail from Mike Berube suggesting we make the reunion a casual event and not get all dressed up. Some on the committee say let people dress however they want. I'm putting this out here to see what you think:

Casual?
Business Casual?
Semi-formal?
Anything Goes?

Let's hear from you!

I suggest clothing optional. Just throwing that out there.

09/02/09 12:12 AM #521

Donna Knowles (Leduc)

knew some one would suggest that...lol....
i prefer casual....im sure everyone just wants to be comfy that night...and not worry about ending up on the floor....(just something i heard....i wasn't there)...lol

Interesting suggestion from a police chief, Bill! So progressive!

I say dress however you're comfortable.

casual sounds fine with me but if i choose bill's pick atleast i know bill enough he would just give me a warning!!

All right everyone ,I missed the 20th reunion due to having my 1st child.I spent A few months finding the right outfit the right shoes ,jewerly, bag etc. So I am dressing up.And I can not wait to see you all.

I'm wearing pajamas. My new classmates do, why can't I? Joni, I will make a careful shoe and bag selection, (though I think jewelry would be too much) less anyone think I've grown lazy.

Margo Ceplinskas (Pinc)

I'm in Joni's camp for dressing up. Melissa, I may have pajamas in my car as "Plan B". Sounds like the reunion attire will be analogous to what you see the audience wearing at the theater. I'm sure there will be jeans, dressy clothes and everything in between.

Hello Everyone.

I think you should dress how ever you want. Margo is right. There will be jeans, casual dress and possible more formal. I kind of like the PJ's (ha ha). Can't wait to see everyone. The responses are coming in fast. If I had to guess it will be around 150. I think that's great. See you all there.

Anne

Just a note to all of those who give a $%&@.

I am having open heart surgery on Tuesday September 16th. I have a serious aneurysm in my aorta that needs to be fixed asap. A cat scan taken in July indicated that I indeed had a heart. I was amazed! (can someone tell my ex-wife) Anyway I hope to be able to make it to the reunion although I may not be able to break dance. I'll leave the dancing to Larry Bunnell. See you all soon.

Burkee

Very sad news about Mark. I also saw it in the paper today. What an infectious smile. (That is what I remember from high school also) My thoughts are with Debbie and her children.

Anne O'Shaughnessy (Suosso)

Connie, I agree with you, When I saw his picture in the paper, it looked like he has not changed since High School. He had the most beautiful smile and the most beautiful eyes. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Also, my thoughts and prayers are with you Bill.

Does anyone know how Mark died? I have heard sad rumors and I hope they are not correct. I also think it would be appropriate to send something (Flowers, Memorial Donation, something) on behalf of the class of '79. If someone knew what the family wanted, I'd be happy to make a personal donation but something from the entire class seems in order. Is anyone from the class in regular contact with the family?

Linda Lemay (Wojceshonek)

Melissa, according to the paper donations can be made to st. mary's bank in his name for a college fund for the kids. Lots of prayers all around. Good luck with the surgery Bill.
Sorry for your loss Deb.

These are very sad times. Trying to find the good in it all isn't easy.
