Instead of individually donating, would we like to pool our money and donate on behalf of our entire class? This would certainly lighten Debbie's burden. Anne, would it be possible to send you money for the memorial (and one donation could be made from the class of 1979) or would each like to send his/her own contribution? I did not know Debbie or Mark well. Not even in high school. (And I cannot even begin to imagine this family's grief,) But there is a small moment of grace knowing that the one gone was remembered fondly by others. Sometimes it's all you have...

As Linda mentioned, donations may be made to a fund for the college education of Mark and Debbie's daughters. Here's a bit more information for the out-of-town classmates.

Mark J. Langton Donation Fund
c/o St. Mary's Bank
P.O. Box 990
Manchester, NH 03105

Also, I believe there is a guest book at Legacy.com.

If there are any classmates going to the viewing on Saturday, please let Debbie know her classmates send their prayers.

Melissa,

I would be happy to take donations. I will do anything you want me to do, I think it is a great idea to do something from the class of 1979. Look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks Anne, I'd like to send a check to be sent from the class. Debbie will have enough on her plate without having to send a thank you note once she figures out who the hell I am. Should I make it payable to MMHS Reunion '79 and send it to you on Cranwell?

If that works, I suggest anyone else wanting to contribute (who didn't have an personal relationship with the family) do the same.

The Langton family is in our thoughts and prayers.

Billy Burke- Give 'em hell at the hospital. Let them feel your pain.

Donna- Hope your recovery is speedy. Have your boys cook you something tasty. Remind them how long you were in labor and ask for a soufflé and baked Alaska.

I'll be going to the wake Saturday. Deb and I went way back to childhood together. I haven't seen her in years but I don't feel weird about seeing her. My parents are friends with her mother.
I like the idea of a group donation. Let me know how you want it handled so I can give.
I'll talk to Debbie and tell her about all the well wishes from her classmates.

Thank you all for the kind thoughts. It was so sad to hear about Mark today. We grew up with each other from first grade on. He was a great guy. He will surely be missed. Please say a prayer for Mark, his wife and kids.

Melissa,

That will be fine. If anyone wants to make a donation in memory of Mark, please send the checks to me

When writing check: MMHS 1979. Also put Marks name on the memo line so I know that is what is for. I'll take care of everything.

Such sad sad news in today's paper. My thoughts and prayers to Debbie and the girls. Also to Nancy Hamer (Cardona)'s family. She is another with whom I went to grammar school with. Two young lives lost in the same week. Such a shame. The heavens above have more shinning stars tonight! God bless them all!

Just returning from vacation in Maine. Wow what sad news to hear of Marks passing. I remember that Mark was the type of guy who was nice to everyone and that is why everyone liked him so much. My heart is heavy for his family. My sympathy to Debbie and the girls. It is so true that life is a gift and enjoy each other everyday.
Bill sent you a private e mail. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Cathy
Anne I have just sent my invitation response sorry I left for vacation and totally forgot to sent it.

The past couple days make me think..wear whatever the hell you want. Dressy, casual, naked...let's enjoy life. As I said to a co-worker today who is dreading 50..do you want the alternative? Enjoy turning 50...class of 79..we have been probably learned the best lesson of our lives.

Donna's right. I'd like to think that at my age, life isn't a fashion show. I am what I am. Wrinkles and all. It's the Character that counts. And by the looks of things there are quite a few characters in our class. lol

Billy boy, Hope all goes well. You can tell us about it at the 30th. Mark, you will be missed!
If you think I am dressing up for you knuckleheads... you are sadly mistaken! Comfortable and casual is how life should be. Let your hair down for a few hours.
Cuz we ain't gettin any younger... just feeling it!

Bill,
Good luck with the surgery. I am sure when I see you at the reunion we will have many people we know in law enforcement. If you can't dance - we can always gossip! See you at the reunion!

It was an important message, Donna. Worth repeating.

Hey, where has Rob been lately? We haven't had much mischief on here since he went AWOL.

Rob please don't tell melissa where we have been. Know one is to know of our dance video hitting it big overseas and us doing the promotional tour of Europe. Thanks for keeping it a secret.

Glenn Lianos

Ok..why did that post twice?

A) Because you want to be heard

B) You want to suck up to a senior in the PD

C) You're getting senile?

Glenn Lianos, You are terrible! (And possibly the funniest person I personally know.) Donna, His wife, Antonia, will not let my comment go to his head. She knows how to knock him down with just a nod of HER head. That's power!

If there's one thing the Class of '79 does with a great deal of panache, it's crack wise. Brings a tear of pride to my eye...
