Hate to rain on your parade, but you are not senile. I think a few of us were in our "better living through chemistry" phase. As a whole I think we could be declared a super fund site!!!
If you want though, keep going with the senile thing...RIGHT!

Ok...I'd like a table for people who DO remember things from good 'ole MMHS but CHOOSE to forget!

My memory from Senior hike day was the following day when I proudly marched to the office to hand in my note. It was written by me, signed by me, admitting to "skipping" school. It was accepted because I had just turned 18 on May 17th. Remember when turning 18 meant something?

Rob, I think I remember hitting a cable while running too. I think Joanie Whitcomb was with us near Saint Anthony's field on Taylor and Vinton Streets. Do you think this was the a same time?

Nice update to your profile, Michelle. Dan's got some hairdo!

Kevin, I think it could rival yours...back in the day!

Melissa ~ Do you still have your "magic purse"???

09/16/09 07:04 PM #749

Melissa Turner

I had a magic purse? Dang, I want a magic purse right now. (Please supply details of said purse.) I still have one earring from the crazy earrings you and Jo-Ann Skeffington gave me. They hurt like hell but I loved them. I keep the one because I loved the two of you and it makes me laugh everytime I see it. The other went MIA when we were still in high school. But they were my favorite.

Michelle--A bit of advice for Dan. We are only given a certain allotment of hair in our lifetime. Some chose to use it up all at once. Others make it last. You've seen me lately so you know what I mean.

Michelle Tanguay (Considine)

You're such a doll! We both loved you too...and still do! Now if I can only get Jo to reply to me about the reunion. Four e-mails and still no response!

Anyway, your purse was a rectangle that opened up to a large square. It was "reversible". You'd flip it around and "sing" a song with it! Does anyone else remember that? Please don't tell me I was imagining things!!!

Hey-Is there anyone here who went on the exchange trip to Germany in 1978? How about to Paris on April break 1978. I took off from my host family and caught up with you Paris folks for a few days before taking the train back to Germany. Anyone got any stories?

09/16/09 07:14 PM #753

Kevin Farley

Michelle, maybe what was in the purse enhanced your imagination

09/16/09 07:26 PM #754

Melissa Turner

I mean it, I want that purse right now! It sounds fabulous. It’s possible I owned it but …well…you know….Nada!

Farley, you are implying something perhaps…illegal? Not my poison of choice. Don’t get me wrong. This isn’t moral high ground; I was willing to go to the dark side. But the dark kicked me back…Hard! I self medicated with alcohol. I couldn’t (and never could) get the hang of anything more interesting.

I always think of you as Mini. I always will…(I hope that is okay?)

09/16/09 07:29 PM #756

Michelle Tanguay (Considine)

Absolutely! As long as you are aware that after 3 children and 30 years I'm not so "Mini" anymore!!!

09/16/09 07:31 PM #757

Melissa Turner

Me either!

09/16/09 07:34 PM #758

Kevin Farley

No implications at all. Mini's the one that said the purse was magic.

Melissa Turner

Mini, you questioned surviving two nights out in a row?…I’m about to do a dry run. Well…not exactly dry…a trail run…That’s it.
Tim is out of town and the squids are all out and about. Last night I met the girls for cocktails. Tonight we are meeting for “dinner.” with cocktails. One of my brilliant friends advised me that cocktails are best when limited to two. So I am going to drink from really large glasses. (Oh, who am I kidding?) I’ll be out after one.

Michelle Tanguay (Considine)

Melissa...Be adventurous! Instead of a couple tall ones, try several small drinks instead...maybe in the form of shot glasses!!!

Okay, I'll join in the "don't remember much" club!! I do vividly remember Tower Hill (will have to ask Stan M. at the reunion if he remembers the car door story). My old McDonald's work days and all of the fun we had before, during and after work.
Brian, I used to hang out at the top of Rock Rimmon after we got out of McDonald's at night. Remember "Z-A-Y-R-E-S"? The old Zayres Dept. store sign? The horror to that is I live at the base of the rock now and have to cover my ears from the all night revelers!
Karen, Colette Hebert - CYO, St. Pius - Candia Rd.? Lot's of junior high fun!
Girl Scouts, ugh - - - it is all coming back to me now!
It truly is a pleasure to be remembering all of this in advance of getting together on the 10th!!!
I will be trying to meet you guys at P.J's on Friday as well - -

Michelle: So...THAT'S why you were SO happy at Hampton Beach on Senior Hike Day! You knew you could write your own note the next day! I didn't turn 18 until a week after we graduated! Damn! :)

I hope PJ's can handle this rowdy crowd! :)

Well all I can say is so far my memory is intact and functioning and I can tell stories that many of you probably would wish I had forgotten and John Normand would have the black mail pictures to go along with them!! Many of my friends are just waiting for the day I get "Alzheimer's" so the memorable stories stop!! Charlotte Hybsch Crockett keeps saying "I don't remember that how the hell do you remember those things?" Sometimes it's a gift and other times a curse.

I am going to sit at all the tables and as I drink more tell more and more stories and dance and dance some more like no one else is watching!! I'll dance with you and your husband Melissa! What do I care what people think of me at this age of my life. I am well beyond the age of my listening to my mother say "What will the neighbors think?" And the "remember who you are and what you represent"! Hmmm that would be myself I believe!! LOL But there are days I do find myself saying things to my 16 y.o. my mother said to me. Scary isn't it??!!

Sounds like a lot of people are going to PJ's Fri. night. I might try making it if I can get up the courage to face all of you crazy "Class of 79'rs"! Kevin are you going?
