And Kevin and I shared the left-over half of your 2nd martini, Michelle! I'm not sure if I want to know what that means! LOL!
I think that was you and me talking "under the invisibility cloak". Yeah... high school: a lot of time spent wondering how to fit in. And yet, it's all part of the experience. Sucks that it can be so bloody painful at times, but we can rejoice that we were in it together! Woo hoo!
I like to think we gained some wisdom from that "smokey, hazy" period from the '70s. Oh, wait, that was just one of my parties... but I did learn to kick everybody out before my Dad got home! ;-}
Melissa, Donna and I were thinking the same thing. Thought I was a bit inept, still not ruling that out, but I can't find the list anywhere! Randy, Friday the 9th is the outing to Laura's "Apollo Restaurant", and the 10th is the actual reunion. Bob, Great pictures from Friday night. Just disappointed that Brian and I were in the ER for most of the night and not in many of the pictures! Good news is that the worst has been ruled out, but we still need to find out what's wrong with him. Don't want to have a repeat for reunion weekend.
Ok classmates I just posted the photos from friday night at P J O'Sullivan's. For all those interested that couldn't make it take a look, and some of the participants may also want to see. Hope all may enjoy.
OMG - those photos rock!! I have to go to the reunion now...no question. You guys...Shirl was there!! I loved seeing those photos - thank you so much. OK...working on getting the d*mn airline ticket now...
The list of the classmates attending the Reunion is under the 30th Reunion Details. We have listed the Menu, letter from Catherine Cavanaugh, and the list of attendees. Looking forward to seeing everyone.
Laura--I don't know who is getting a guest list for the Apollo together, but count me in. I want to be first on the list. Liam wants to come down with me. It's amazing that he still remembers you guys. The last time he saw you he couldn't have been more than 4 years old but he recognized Casey on your profile and wants in on the trip down. If he were a bit younger I could make him the DD, but no such luck.
Joni, I spoke to her on Thursday, just before P J O'Sullivan's and invited her to come. She said she might and is aware of the reunion. Joanne Gaynor told her all about this website.
Wa Wa Wa....I hurt my back yesterday. This is relevant only because it hurts like a motha’ to sit at my computer but I had to look at these photos. Just like labor. Only this time, I’m giving birth to the class of 1979. Completely worth the pain (Just know this, I’m not putting any one else through college.) Thanks for the photos, Bob!
Laura (and the rest of you for that matter) can let this go no further. My husband is NOT much of a dancer (nothing like Glenn what-so-ever.) What he is is a great sport. He's usually pretty dignified but we've found that alcohol is the cure for dignity. Then he lets it rip. It's a sight to behold (and if it is even possible) makes me like him more.
Bob...........Thanks for the pictures! Decided at the last minute to go and so glad that I did. Was great to see everyone. The class of 79 still has it! We haven't skipped a beat. We all still rock!
Had a great time on Friday night. Saturday had a cook out with the family. Stayed up till 3a.m. with my step daughter having beers by the fire. Potato guns are still fun, and really loud late at night. Today reminds me of the old school daze. Will be in bed early tonight. Anyone going to the Recycled Percussion concert tomorrow have a great time and possibly take and post some pictures.
My daughter and her friend are going. They are friends of the band (went to school together) and will be watching from back stage. I'll definitely have her get some good pics!
By looking at the pictures looks like I should of gone. I live right around the corner from PJ's. My daughter plays in the band for MMHS and thats where I was Friday night. I will be at the Oct 9 game though see you there.
Ya know...I'd never even hear of Recycled Percussion until I saw America's Got Talent....and they definitely have talent....even coming in third is awesome....least to me it is.
Evelyn....since i don't remember all that much about highschool....(yep..one of the insecure ones.lol) I do remeber youy from 7th and 8th grade chorus....not to mention I think of you just about every weekend when I drive down Huse Rd when I run errands with mom....I'm in town usually every Saturday and have to admit I wondered if you still lived there...
Since the forum tends to fly by lately...I'm not sure if it's been mentioned where we sign up to be counted for going to Laura's on the 9th....I definitely want to go....and I'll let drivers know now that I'll be needing a ride from a kind soul....I won't be allowed to drive that far...even if I had a car that would make it....lol
Thank you all for letting this forum be such fun....
