Any specifics on carpooling for the Apollo on Friday night? I had previously enlisted my daughter to be a DD, but unfortunately she will have to work early on Saturday morning and won't be able to join us. (Drawbacks of being management). Now, please don't call me a wimp, but I can't drive in Mass. I'm too chicken & I'd freak out! Any info or suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!

Tim and I are heading up to Laura’s early. We haven’t worked out the details as of yet. (We are used to driving in LA. Mass should be a comparative dream.) Originally we were going to meet at our hotel and convoy from there. We are still willing to do that with those leaving when we do (TBD.) However, I am willing to organize those leaving at the original suggested time. Let me know your thoughts on this forum. I know I keep typing this, but….I can hardly wait!

By the way, Tim got a room at the Fairfield (off South Willow) for something like $79 dollars/night. It’s not luxe but their sheets have a high thread count and they offer both down and poly filled pillows. Just something for out of towners to keep in mind.

Dave Ezyk!!! Anyone know what's going on with him? I sent him a message but he didn't answer. Wouldn't mind seeing those dimples again...

Pam.....let me first say that my thoughts are with you and your daughter during her recovery....as for my surgery (Aug 26th_....they ended up doing a partial kidney removal to get rid of a cancerous growth.....far as they know they got it all....(thank goodness).....recovery has been going great......except for getting tired easily.......guess I'm a bit anemic still.....one would think the two units of blood and iron pills I have to take three times a day would have taken care of it....lol......needless to say.....aside from gingerale, I won't be doing a whole lot of drinking just yet....figure one would put me under the table.....lol

I have some sad news. Pam's daughter, Maura, coded last night. She was resuscitated and medivac'd to Children's in Boston. She is currently in critical condition and on a ventilator while the doctors run tests. No one seems to know why this happened. She was even scheduled to go home today as the surgery apparently went well.

Pam and her ex are together in Boston and ask for your prayers.

Kevin, Is there anything we can do to make things easier for them? Anything besides pray? Food, rides for Pam's daughter, a dog that needs to be walked, anything?

Donna Keenan (Grady)

Oh no!! I love seeing Maura when she comes to the PD. I feel so terrible...I will let my co workers know and we will all be praying for her.

I am happy to advise that I made it thru my heart surgery. I now have a new aorta and a pig valve. How appropriate. Not an easy operation. Quite the scar(s) I am just able to get up and down stairs now. Not only do I look 100 but I feel it. Still hoping to be at the reunion tho. Hope all is well with everyone. See you soon.
Bill

The news about Pam's daughter, Maura, hit me like a ton of bricks. I am at a loss for words. They will both be on my mind.

It sounds like a hollow offer, because I am 3,000 miles away. But I can have food sent over (via the internet) and I can pay for a cab (Or hire one of my cousin’s college kids to drive.) When your family is in crisis; you forget to do small but important things. (You put the milk in the washer and the clothes in the fridge.) I love Pam. I can’t begin to imagine what she is going through. (I can’t let myself even think about it.) This breaks my heart.

Billy Burke, We are glad to have your curmudgeonly, spitting-self back. We need a little good news. How are you doing, Sugar?

Like Laura, I have no words! I'll get some prayer warriors I know on this. Pam, whenever you see this, know that Maura and your family are wrapped in our thoughts and prayers.

Pam,

I and my family will be praying over-time for all of you. As we just found out a week ago Friday, we live right down the street from each other. If there's ANYTHING we can do, transportation for Emily, school activities, food, etc., etc., I'm right in the neighborhood. Please feel free and do not hesitate to call on me...you have my numbers.

Hurt my rotator cuff and have been pretty much been told not to do much. So I have been quiet. Am doing much better and almost back to normal but still the doctor won't me do much. It tough getting old.

Sounds like a fun group going to Laura's Hope you hall have fun. I will probably go to the football game. I am waiting to see if my cousin is playing that nigh. He is a Senior at Bishop Guertin and he love it when we go to his game.
Can't wait to see you all.

I've been away for a few days and now just getting caught up with the news. So sad to hear about Pam's little girl, my prayers are with them. Glad to see Bill is recovering from his heart surgery and Cathy for her rotator cuff, now hope all goes the same for Maura. The reunion is getting so close, can't wait to see everyone there. As for the Appolo I won't be attending because I too am afraid to drive there and back. Not so much as there but back. Glad also to see Diane Thayer will be going to the reunion.

Wow people. Pam: I'm praying for Maura. I'm tearing up thinking about her. Poor baby. Be strong and hang in there.

Bill: I'm praying for you for a speedy recovery.

On another sad note. I can't make it to the reunion. I have to work and can't get anyone to cover my shift. But i'm sure we will have more smaller get togethers. Take and post lots of pictures. don't forget the say who is in them. I can't wait.

Pam, Kevin says you can receive posts so consider this message a hug from me to you. As Melissa said, anything you need, you just ask.

Bill- keep on truckin'! Glad to hear you're doing well. Same to you, Cathy. Evelyn, congrads on the family addition. Linda, sorry you can't make it. Was just looking at photos from the Hawaii trip and I think I have one of you. Was that you?

I'm definately up for a Sunday brunch before heading home. Can anyone suggest a place?

Laura: Brunch at Chez Vachon on Kelly Street. It's on the west side. I personally like the crepes with syrup. In fact now I'm craving them. I guess I'll be going for breakfast tomorrow.

Linda! That's funny! I was thinking Chez Vachon, too! Great breakfasts!
