Collette - a post-reunion Sunday brunch is happening at Chez Vachon on the 11th. Kevin Farley has already warned the restaurant we'll be coming. I don't think a time has been determined yet. Poutine will be on the menu. ;-) Perhaps we should create a Chez Vachon list like the other events so that the restaurant has a fighting chance to prepare for us? Anyone?
Yeah, Glenn...I would say the apparent risk to your reputation (actually, do you have one of those?!) is worth the plane ticket!! (or better yet...WILL you have a reputation when all is said and done!)
Have found the Crusader and she is right here with me at the hospital and her name is Maura!!! I think she should become the class of "79" MMHS mascot as she is fighting like a crusader would!!
She was able to wean off one of her cardiac medications last night! Yippee!! She had another readiness test for getting the breathing tube out and did well initially but her respirations increased after 2 hrs. so she needed the ventilator turned back up again for pressure support but she is breathing on her own! They are hoping tomorrow she will be ready and that she can wean off of her last cardiac medication today or tomorrow.
If anyone is in the Boston area and want to come by and visit feel free. She is on 7South at "Boston Children's Hospital". My cell number is 860-8972 or 361-5210 if you want to text or call too! The days get long here so the breaks are welcome!
By the way Glenn and Laura what some of our friends hate the most about me is my memory for stories and details!!! Know I pulled some good ones in my past but I am sure I could pull some good stories out of my hat if I really thought about it!!! The competition is on and Glenn if you aren't here you loose!!! I may not make it either though at this point but I am still hopeful!!
Laura not sure where you work and go to school but if you are anywhere near Boston and have time to stop by would love to see you. Completely understand if you don't though with the busy schedule you have!!! I know your thoughts and prayers are with Maura.
Okay, so I've just left a message on what I hope was Jill Campbell's voicemail. I Googled her, and I'm optimistic that I've found the right Jill. Although, it seemed much too easy to find her. I'm not complaining because I may have found a wayward old friend, but I'm still not quite comfortable with the exposure the wonderful world wide web gives us.
Glenn you need to go to the reunion. CA is not that far away. As for Maura, Wow, what a trooper. Definitely should be the mascot. so glad to hear she is getting better.
Oh Laura - I too remember Colonel Puff Puff - The your trip down the stairs. I believe it was my house that Glenn carried you to. My poor mother - She was very worried. Still trying to remember whose 3rd floor apartment we were at.
Pam glad to hear that Maura is making progress. She's got my vote. Keep the good news coming.
Joe we are pratically neighbors. Maple Farm Road - OH BOY!
Glenn sounds like you have a fight on your hands! I won't add to it - I think Laura, Melissa and Pam are enough.
Pam's right: It was Debbie and Ernie's (and I don't think we ever saw them again...I wonder why...
and Diane is right: After getting her downstairs I had to carry her to the car "piggy back"..then carried her into your Mom's house at like 3 am...(there was some killer cat in that bathroom too. So while holding her up we had to avoid being scratched to death...ahhhh and the aroma of cat pee and puke)
Thank you Diane for being the only one coming to my rescue...sniff...sniff
Also, let me go on record as saying: If you can’t bother to show (to defend yourself) any story that Laura and Melissa concoct about you should be taken as gospel. Say for example, they had some friend who was so important and fancy-schmancy he “couldn’t” come back for the reunion. Then they might feel a certain obligation to let others see deeply into his soul. They might feel that a few stories would illustrate how deeply he felt the Crusader love. It’s difficult to say how much they’d have to share. Difficult….
