Heidi A. Garriott, age 63, of South Euclid, passed away early Saturday morning, April 27, 2024, at University Hospitals-Cleveland Medical Center.

She was born August 21, 1960, in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late Richard and Alice (Karsmizki) Leinard. Heidi graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. She was an educator for over forty years. Heidi passionately shared her love of learning as a teacher, tutor, and mentor. In these roles, she diligently upheld best practices while creating a fun and encouraging classroom environment. She delighted in helping students to achieve their fullest potential.

Heidi is survived by her husband of 39 years, William Garriott; their children, Sarah (Ramiro) and Andrew; her siblings, Dan (Peg) Leinard, Sherry Davis, and Tanya Leinard; beloved nieces, nephews, brothers-and-sisters-in-law; and a granddaughter.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2024, from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at Wappner Funeral Directors-Ontario, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road in Ontario, OH. The funeral service will be held on Monday, May 6, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the same location. Heidi will be laid to rest in Lantz Cemetery in Mansfield, OH.
