Mansfield: Jeffery Cline Yates, 51, of Mansfield, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2012 ay MedCentral Mansfield Hospital.

  Jeffery was born May 12, 1960 in Alexandria , Virginia to Bobby Cline and Carol Joan (Rutherford) Yates. He wrestled for Madison and was a 1978 graduate of Madison Comprehensive High School, and served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during peace time. Jeffery enjoyed fishing and bowling and loved nature and animals, especially his dog Topaz. He also enjoyed going to the Cleveland Indians games with his brother Tony.

  He is survived by one daughter, Amanda Yates of Woodbridge, Virginia, his mother, Carol Joan Yates Proffitt of Pembroke, North Carolina, three siblings, Tony Yates, Donna (Lester) Dixon, both of Mansfield, and Robert Yates of Cleveland, special companion, Nicole Streff of Mansfield, nieces and nephews, Amy Yates, Ashley Yates Swanger, Alexa Yates Hardy, Matthew Dixon, Bobby Dixon, Lester Dixon Jr. and Allen Yates, special maternal aunt and uncle, Kelver and Sue Delaney of Mansfield, paternal aunt and uncle, Larry and Pauline Jones of Richmond, Virginia, paternal aunt, Anita Yates of Virginia Beach, Virginia, numerous cousins, and very special friends Harold and Harold “Dean” Brubaker. 

  Jeffery is proceeded in death by his father, Bobby C. Yates.

 A private family funeral service will be held at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, LTD. 1106 Park Ave East, Mansfield, Ohio.
