I  do remember Mike from grade school, but never got to know him well, as was true for many of us while in our younger years. I'm sure that Michael D. Houston did the best he could with what he was given at the time. I hope that he had someone to grieve his death. Yes, RIP, Mike I'm glad his name came up as we are about to celebrate our 50th Reunion. Thanks, Ski!

Two stories about Mike.  In 7th grade I was delivering newspapers and a guy I didn't know approached me with Mike.  He suggested to Mike that they beat me up and rob me.  Mike told him that would not happen.  Summer after high school or the following summer I was in a bar with Mike and Jan O'Dea.  Jan went to dance and Mike started going through her purse.  I asked him to stop and he did.  We all have different impressions of people. Who he really was, only God knows.  Jim Caruso

This whole conversation makes me wonder what people will say about me when I'm gone!

We must remember back in the OLD DAY'S we where all YOUNG & DUMB. I got into it with Mike twice, a week later we were pal's. After high school I would see Mike at the OK. He was nothing like he was in grade school. I think he had his clock cleaned enough to learn he couldn’t bully everyone. RIP Mike.

When I last saw Mike that one time, he was missing a good number of teeth and looked like he had just gone ten rounds in the boxing ring and had come out on the short end..  I doubt that he know me or was conscious of my presence.  I truly felt sorry for him.

I have no clue as to what his home life was like, but I can't belief that it was all that optimal.

Jim
