Just received sad news that Linda Worland Summerlot passed at IU in Indy on
August 12. I had received a call from her husband, Ron, earlier in the week
saying she had had yet another stroke and that this one was the worst yet.
Even knowing that, I sincerely believed Linda, as always, would pull through
and be back in her goat barn very soon. Yet, that wasn't in God's plan for
her, so this leaves another void in our hearts and missing Class connection.
Linda is survived by her husband, Ron, whom she married in 1964. She also
leaves a grieving son, Mike, of Jasper; daughter, Jill Early, of Peru;
sister, Susan Buck, of Mooresville; and five grandchildren.
Those of you who knew Linda well will remember her first love after family
was animals--especially horses and later goats. She was very active as a
volunteer in 4-H activities for over 25 years.
Linda's funeral service will be held at Costin Funeral Chapel on Monday,
August 17, 2015, at 11:00 AM with viewing one hour prior to service.
Additional visiting will be Sunday, August 16, 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Our Class
bouquet will join Linda in her last journey.
God bless Linda and her family.
