How did you get started in Barbershop?

Uncle in Oak Park was founding member of Oak Park SPEBSQSA chapter. I heard BS quartet at one of his daughter's wedding. Was sold on BS harmony henceforth.
Sang in a barbershop quartet in high school - 1952-54.
Didn't belong to the society.

Sang for a bit with Jacksonville, IL chapter, didn't join society.

Came to Champaign in 1960, year later met Gene McNish who was directing CU chapter. Joined.
