Gloria Hull Evans

I taught for 5 years until I became preg. and the law was in Kansas that you couldn't teach if you were 5 months preg. A year later a teacher went to court and won so that teachers could keep teaching even if they were pregnant. I stay at home and took care of the my 2 children until they were in 7th and 8th grade. I went back to work as a para. And then went to work for the Hutchinson Public School as a para. I had kept my teaching certificate up in fact it runs out this Dec. 2015. I really enjoyed working with the students. I landed up working at the high school for 20 years in Hutchinson. I worked in the Bird Feeder special needs classes most of those years. We cooked and learned to read recipes and sold snacks to the high school students and used that money to buy supplies tp make new snacks. We also had a restaurant so the staff could make reservations and the student would cook the food and be the waiter and waitress to serve the staff. They learned so much. A great class. and great students.

Unfortunately I have none. New job, taxi driver for my grandchildren.

I am an instant nanny for my grandchildren. Some day I will go on cruises. When we had gone on cruises and would meet grandmother's with a grandchild on that cruise. That sounded fun.

Remember Mrs. Kohler and the ensemble. Remember the words to the songs we sang when I hear them. Remember the plays and musicals we gave. Good Times

I miss McPherson High. And the Mrs. Kohler's ensemble. I have moved to Kansas City and have left Hutchinson behind.
