Seems like a long winter this year which played havoc with lupus but am thankful that the sun is shining and warm weather is on its way.

Spent some time quilting and getting ready to piece two queen sized quilts for my two baby granddaughters for Christmas.

We just finished re-doing the interior of the house which was fun and rewarding. Much nicer than building the new one that we had anticipated doing.

We moved to Meridian when I was a freshman. I remember having Mr.Meyer for General Business first period. Once a week he would send me across to the "Sugar Shack" to get him some lemon drops. When I first started teaching we taught in the same school. That seemed pretty funny.

Hey, remember reading "1984" by George Orwell in Mr. Forester's class... big brother watching over us with cameras everywhere? Wow, was Orwell insighfull!

Remember doing demonstration speeches in Mr. Forrester's class? Coralee did one on making a popcorn cake and it was really festive. I have made one every year for my sons... they love them still.

Going to the football and basketball games, with the band playing and the cheerleaders leading cheers was a highlight of school. Remember when Pat Brown (one year our senior) played basketball. He would pass that ball like it was a football and it would often slam against the opposite wall. Those were the days:)
