Shelley and I were married in January 1976 (46 years and counting) and in addition to 6 children, we have 6 grandchildren.
You can find me an Facebook - but i don't do much there. For business - I am more active on LinkedIn:

I joined the Navy in August 1968 and after my honorable discharge in 1972, I moved to Los Angeles where I began a career in the lumber industry.
In 1975 I obtained a Commercial Helicopter License and was about to move to Iran to fly for Bell Helicopter in the oil fields, but Shelley came along and I got married instead. Shelley may have saved my life as I would have been in Iran during the Islamic Revolution that was very unfriendly to "infidels."
With the closed door to commercial flying, I went back to lumber, starting my own company - Direct Lumber Co. Inc. Then with the California housing recession, I decided to sell out and move into the Technology business, starting my own Utah based firm - MindShare Associates. This was a great adventure that led to my selling once again and taking position with a client in Michigan, which in turn led to a Regional VP position with Computer Associates, then off to startup Recourse Technologies, which was sold to Symantec Corp, where I worked for 11 years before bouncing to other CyberSecurity firms including RSA, Verizon Business Services, and IBM.
Over the years I have always felt bad about not completing a college degree, so in 2005 I graduated from Colorado Tech - Summa Cum Laude - with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration... This whet my appetite for learning and so I moved on to Walsh College's NSA Center of Academic Excellence where I received an MBA - Information Assurance and also gained my CISSP [Certified Information Systems Security Professional]... I am also a three-time President of the ISSA - the world voice of information security - http://www.issa-motorcity.org/currentbod.htm - and travel extensively to give security briefings. Whew!
Oh and along the way - I set a goal to play golf in all 50 states, which I completed Labor Day 2004 in Anchorage. Lots of fun since High School... :-D

Happy Happy Happy Birthday and Feliz Cumpleanos - dear friend.
Happy Birthday Mike... I hope this finds you happy, healthy, and prosperous.
Happy Birthday Terryl. You are one of the few older than me... a whole month older. Remember when that used to be a lot? Thinking of you brings me back to those great kids at Southside 6th and our Dear Mr. Potter who inspired us to reach skyward, which because of him I later did. How did he inspire you? How are things in your life? I would love to know. Cumpleanos Feliz (trying to learn spanish these days)
Happy Birthday to Arlene today. We just had a nice visit with her and Val that included a yummy lunch and a nice little boat ride on Lake Anna - VA. Arlene is such a great example of how we were all so blessed to be raised in such a great little town with Meridian Warriors... love you all.
Happy Birthday MJB! Just recalling that with that moniker, you were about the coolest kid in Southside 6th. Loved that class and because I idolized Mr. Potter, I took to wings as a young adult. How did the aviation science study affect the girls? I've never heard any of you talk about it.
Meep Meep! Mr. Roadrunner. It looks like birthday time as one of the oldest in our class wishes Happy Birthday to one of the youngest. Hope you are well big guy!
