I moved from Meridian in 1963, but I have such fond memories of you! I have so enjoyed seeing your pictures & reading about you. (Arlene, thank you so much for all your work.) I met and married my husband while going to BYU. Even though I only attended 3 years of college, I've had such a great adventure raising these kids, I've never regretted not getting my degree. We live outside Salt Lake, in West Jordan. We already have 50 grandchildren and there's not a dummy in the bunch! The oldest will turn 23 in August of 2020, so we sure have a lot of fun. Our first grandchild was married in Dec. of 2019 and everyone came home, except for our 2 missionaries that are serving! We stay busy with church activities, too, so I never get bored. 7 of our children live pretty close, but we miss seeing the other 3 often. I do count our blessings that so many do live near by. We love our family. They are all so cute. Life is good!!
We returned from a mission in Concepcion, Chile in November of 2012 and are so glad that we could go, but we are happy to be home now! It was a very wonderful experience! For right now, we stay very busy working at the Jordan River Temple our yard and garden and enjoying family, friends and church!

Happy Birthday, Connie!
I love Sherry Rupp Boone! I wanted to write a tribute to her, because she truly was a wonderful friend to me. We took preschool dance lessons together and became great friends before we ever started school! Sherry is kind, fun-loving, smart, hard-working, spiritual, and so talented in so many ways! She was really good at math! Attending Star Grade School in grades 1-3 were such fun years! While at Star, we built little “forts” over the ditches at our recesses and then climbed in them, played ball, bailed out of the swings, played jump rope, and played house! During our third grade, she was Mrs. Marlatt’s “teacher’s pet”! She wouldn’t admit that, but it was true!) We spent a lot of time at each other’s homes and I knew her siblings well too, because many of them were the same ages as my siblings. When her little sister, Debbie, was born, I decided I loved that name and wanted to name one of my daughters, Debbie, too, which did come to pass. I remember so many activities with Sherry: roller skating, riding bikes and horses, playing catch, (& lots of softball), watching TV, playing house, riding the bus, doing our chores together if we were at each other’s homes, walking to Primary from Meridian Grade School during the week together, attending church and I just loved spending time with her. We often ate dinner at each other houses, and spent the night! I loved her parents and her family, too! When I was 13, our family moved away, and I missed Meridian so much. I’m grateful to have such a terrific friend as Sherry! Can’t wait to see her again!
