The Most Fabulous Weekend
Patti's first words describing the Class of 1957 50th Reunion, held June 8-10, it was "the most fabulous weekend!"

Hi All,
Our fabulous 50th weekend has come and gone. Believe me, you missed seeing and being a part of a great celebration. The awesome feeling of being surrounded by all your former fellow classmates cannot be put into words. The wonderful weather, the hotel surroundings, being right on the intercostals, watching the cruise ships sail out from he port and the most gorgeous sunset from atop the Pier during our Saturday event was spectacular.

The pictures from the reunion, via our photographer, are already on line for viewing. Please go to www. bevcam-designs.com

Click to event and you will see Jackson Reunion listed. She has them listed by Friday night and Saturday night and individual pictures. They are great.! The individual pictures will make up the composite and your names listed beneath. Go to our home page, see Reunion Pictures for a special price on the composite picture.

Raines Video will be contacting, directly, all classmates to offer them an opportunity to purchase the video made on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Thanks to everyone who attended. You all made it a special event.
Patti

Claudette Sutherland

Miami Jackson Class of 1957

Claudette Sutherland - Now residing in Sherman Oaks CaliforniaActress Claudette Sutherland, star of the autobiographical show entitled “Dog Man”, began her acting career, well in focus, with the  Broadway musical comedy “How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying” and continued on with so many other Broadway roles.

Her success in the theatrical industry has expanded into movies, television commercials,

and dozens of appearances in highly popular TV series such as NYPD Blue, The Golden Girls, Murphy Brown, Crossing Jordan and Six Feet Under.

Now, Claudette has added another talent – that of creative writing. She has recently written and performed in “Dog Man”, a one –woman show, at the Matrix Theatre in Los Angeles receiving wonderful reviews from the Critic’s Choice and Los Angeles Weekly – “Sutherland tells her story with eloquence and candor.”

"Dog Man" is Claudette's nostalgic account of growing up [and growing older] with her father, who with his wife and daughter “Claudie” in tow, was a towering figure in the nation's greyhound-racing industry. The story becomes especially poignant, in later years, when Daddy Dog Man grows older and more dependent on his "little girl" to take care of him.

As one Los Angeles entertainment critic has put it: "Sutherland has a Carol Burnett quality–friendly, funny, warm." These are the identical qualities that "Claudie" had decades ago when we all grew up with her in South Florida and loved to be in her presence.

We are delighted that Claudette will share this performance with us at our 50th Reunion. What great news. Please don’t miss this happening as part of the many wonderful and memorable activities for the weekend.
