Attended Freshman year at Midland Junior College, Then went to Texas Tech University for sophomore and Junior year and then got married to Dennis McCoy in 1977. I traveled from cities in Texas wherever his job took him working for his families McCoy Lumber company. Dennis died suddenly in a private plane crash in 1985. I was thereafter a single mother of a 3.5 year old and a 14month old. I ended up going back to school where we had been living in San Marcos, Tx. I finished my undergraduate and got a Masters degree in Professional Counseling and my L.P.C. While doing this I also helped to start the Hays Caldwell Womens Center in San Marcos. Dennis and I helped to start this Center for battered Women and children’s center. I opened up my own office and also worked at the “Christi Center” for those in grief in Austin , Texas where I moved to in 1994. Both
girls graduated from college and both got married and happy with 4 children each
I’m now retired and fully enjoying being a grandmother to 8 grandkids. (4boys and 4 girls, ages 5 years old to 16 years old.) I have also traveled all over the world and I’m looking forward to keep doing so along with
