School Story:
I thought I would use this space like a blog - Just random thoughts between now and the reunion or until the 8000 characters are used.

I was sad to see Gordan Smart and Annabel Romero had passed away. I dated Gordan for about a year. I think it was my junior year. He was the sweetest guy. Always thoughtful and kind. Annabel hung out with us from time to time. I don't think she was capable of ever saying an unkind word to anyone or about anyone. We use to tease her a lot I think because we knew she wouldn't throw any digs back
It's been fun reading everybody's profile. There is only one regret I have now when I look back to when I was in high school. Except for the "pack" I ran around with on a regular basis, I wished I had gotten to really know more of you. It's not too late I say. There's the school reunion and I'm not nearly as shy as I was in high school
Also, Jerry Wiseman, I'm sorry I beat you up in elementary school......:(

Remember "Sound of Music"? Kathryn sent this to me. Julie Andrew has updated the lyrics. They seem more meaningful now!! Sing along :)
Maalox and nose drops and needles for knitting,
Walkers and handrails and new dental fittings,
Bundles of magazines tied up in string,
These are a few of my favorite things.
Cadillac's and cataracts, and hearing aids and glasses,
Polident and Fixodent and false teeth in glasses,
Pacemakers, golf carts and porches with swings,
These are a few of my favourite things..
When the pipes leak, When the bones creak,
When the knees go bad,
I simply remember my favorite things,
And then I don't feel so bad.
Hot tea and crumpets and corn pads for bunions,
No spicy hot food or food cooked with onions,
Bathrobes and heating pads and hot meals they bring,
These are a few of my favorite things.
Back pains, confused brains, and no need for sinnin',
Thin bones and fractures and hair that is thinnin',
And we won't mention our short, shrunken frames,
When we remember our favorite things
When the joints ache, When the hips break,
When the eyes grow dim,
Then I remember the great life I've had,
And then I don't feel so bad

I've had a couple of you asked how my brother Terry is doing (class of 67). Some of you may remember him more than me! I know whenever I had a teacher for the first time, I waited for the teacher to put two and two together and asked if I was his sister - always worked in my favor as I knew he was well liked and I never minded riding on his coattail. He is doing very well, married Tamara Wilden (Hillcrest Alum), has four boys (all Hillcrest Alums)! See photo below of his growing family

Seems a lot of memories of choir in the profiles. I did try out for Junior Choir in my sophomore year. This shows how much compassion Mr Dean had. I never could carry a tune, then or now. How he ever let me get in based on my "Row, Row, Row, Your Boat" audition I'll never know. My main reason for wanting to get in is because I heard a rumor that when we would be seniors the
A Cappella choir was going to Hawaii to perform. We never did obviously. I can't remember who sat on either side of me in the alto section, but thanks to you I could stay on key and fly under the radar.
