I recall how astounded and sad I was the day my mother (Marian Osborne) called me in Idaho to tell me Steve had passed away. I knew Steve as he was a close neighbor and we went to church together. He was raised in a Wonderful family which I think were mostly boys. He would have been an allstar in life....actually...he was.

Steve was in my ward growing up.  He was the youngest of 4 boys, all smart, handsome and athletic.  Because of this, he was friends with the older boys in the neighborhood and remained quite shy during mutual activities.  I always hoped I would get a chance to dance with him, but I never did.

Since I moved near my parents to help take care of them, I had a chance to talk to one of the older guys who knew him well, Ron Turner.  Ron told me that Steve had a really great sense of humor and was so much fun that they never minded the kid brother tagging along.  They remained friends into their adult lives and he said Steve was just a super dad, always playing with his kids.  His heart attack was a shock to everyone because he was still young and fit.

Marilyn is right, Steve was smart and handsome.  I really enjoyed my childhood with all of you.  I was blessed 😊.
