I only took one class from the high school art teacher too. I remember him sleeping in the back of the room while we all chatted and doodled. I learned nothing about art. Fortunately, I was able to move on with my creativity too. Funny the random things you remember, but when I decided that elementary ed and psychology was not for me in undergrad, my advisor asked me what else I would like to do. I got an A in that crazy art class so I switched my major to fine arts. It was all based on that dopy teacher and the A. The rest is history. I learned it all on my own but that class was the crazy catalyst.
I am heading up a tour group this fall to Norway if anyone is interested. Northern Lights, small fishing villages, waterways and landscapes will be our targets with cell phone cameras and DSLR's. I am shooting now with much smaller cameras and my trusted cell phone now and loving the freedom. Let me know if you are interested in joining a small group of folks on this off-the-beaten-path adventure. We always have a great time and make some new friends. Wishing you all the very best. nance
