Several "in-loves" and lots of grandkids ages 14-4 make for a full house when we gather. They all live in the midwest but none by us. We have been in Mason City IA for 16 years which is a record for us. With Joel spending 8 years in the Air Force and having served churches as an ELCA pastor since 1980 we have moved a lot. Something around 24 times?
I worked as a parish secretary, and an interpreter for the deaf and we also were PATH foster care parents for a few years, but mostly I was a full time at home mom out of necessity.
I was infected with Lyme Disease in 1985 and was not diagnosed until 2007 so became quite ill and mostly homebound until this last year when Joel (who also was infected with Lyme and on disability for 3 yrs) was healed overnight by prayer. The Lyme and co-infections, CFS, arthritis, hypo-thyroiditis, sleep apnea and eye disease are all gone! It put us on a quest for my healing and I have seen major improvement this year and am no longer living life from my living room sofa.
