I am devastated to learn this sad news ?? Carolina was such a creative, talented and outgoing person. From the very beginning she dared to be different, and I always admired that about her. The world is lesser without her in it.
Hi Caryle...where in the world are you living now? Did you sell your home in Caldwell? Send me an update to my email please. Are you still painting? Feeling well? ..update!! sarafera@mindspring.com miss you! Hugs, Sara

My goodness Carol Ann. So great to know you are alive and well--I hope-- in WA!
Sally Bateman Cooks asks about you all the time. I will pass this onto her.
Blessings! Caroline Bartholomew Medina (legel version of me)
Brooks was my cousin. His grandmother and my grandfather were brother and sister. We grew up in Essex Fells surrounded by literally dozens of cousins and aunts and uncles and houses to visit and dogs and cats to love as family members. We had lots of family parties and we all sang.
We also all went to Essex Fells School through 8th grade, and then we all had to part and go our own ways. Some of us went to Caldwell HS. Some of us went to Day Schools. some of us went to boarding schools. And a few of us luckiest ones went to Montclair High School. Brooks and I were in that group.
One of the major tenets of our Big Family Value System was: always protect each other + always be loyal to one another. Brooks was very good at that. I hope I was too. We were well-taught.
As you can see from his obit, Brooks grow up to become a wonderful man.
Not included in the obit is a picture of the 3 acres or more of lush lawns and gardens, trees, bushes and woodland pools that Brooks personally and single-handedly carved out of his all-wooded home-lot in Princeton NJ. Once we had an enormous and splendid feast there. The whole family. It felt like we were in a movie.
I will never forgaet his gracious and gentle nature and his humble spirit.
