Thanks for informing us of this prayer need, Maria. And thanks for your email about Classmate Carmen Williams. According to what Carmen's daughter told Maria, everyone, Carmen is not recognizing anyone, is hospitalized, and is not doing well at all. We should pray for her, too.

I really do not know what possesses Russell to do something like this-but I am sure glad that he does! This is a fabulous resource especially given that I think that I have finally come to the conclusion that we are all getting older!! You never cease to amaze me. We all owe you much gratitude for this effort Russ! Thanks, Man!!

Maria Tate emailed me and told me about this site. This is great! I have not had a chance to go to any class reunions - maybe I will be able to go to the 30th and see everyone.

Thanks alot Russ, for doing this!

Let's start discussing how you would like to see us celebrate our 30-year reunion in 2009. We need feedback. I've already had 3 people suggest that we get Steve Perkin's Band, "Firecreek" to play. James Bramblet is the drummer. Post your thoughts and ideas and let's get the ball rolling. What did you like about past reunions? What did you not like? What kept you from coming in the past?

Getting Steve's band sounds great. Can we keep the cost down some this time? That's one reason I haven't been able to come to past reunions was the cost. I live 2 to 3 hrs away now and would have to stay over night. I really want to come to this one. I've missed seeing everyone but what ever you decide i will try my best to be able to come. I like the school idea. Would bring back wonderful memories.

I THINK STEVES BAND AND THE HIGH SCHOOL SOUNDS GREAT ALSO. I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING ALL OF YOU.

This site for our class is absolutely great! To Russell and any others who have put their time and efforts in putting this site together, I commend you! Keep up the good work! I enjoy coming to the site from time to time to read updates about our classmates. It brings back great school day memories.

I look forward to our 30th reunion. I would like to mention a couple of places. That's Dave&Busters at Concord Mills - a place for food and fun games. Queens Landing in Mooresville on the boat and grounds is another suggestion. Hey... I'm like whatever the committee comes up with. I plan on being there Lord willing!

See ya!

Well it looks as if our monumental 30 year reunion is quietly snicking up on us, at least for those of us that are hard of hearing. I like the idea of having it close to our old stomping grouds, if not on the old stomping ground itself. I am sure with a little persuasion, we could possibly pull off a reunion at the high school. You never know until you ask. My suggestions are based on the presidential outcome this year. If Obama wins, then we could have it at Denny's. If McCain wins, then I think we might be able to swing IHOP. The school is sounding very tempting. Either way, it might be the year to get a little creative and think outside the box. Something outdoors (ie Lake Norman, Lake Wiley, one of the local parks) An empty office building in downtown Mt. Holly? There is a florist in Mt. Holly, Reggie. He bought the house just past the old furniture store across the street from the church. He does parties. Great location, great landscape, and he might just be affordable. I wouldn't want anyone to not come because the cost is prohibitive. Take care everyone and blessings to all. Reach out and find those of our class that have strayed to let them know that we are thinking about them, and our hopes that they make it to big 3-0.

Oh snaps Maria!!! The school idea sounds fun!! It would be really good to have it at school and invite any of our teachers that still might be around, too. Tim and I were talking not too long ago about having it outdoors, also. How about tailgating at Homecoming for part of it? I've only been to one reunion, so I don't know if our class has ever done that. Oh, and as far as contacting missing classmates, maybe we could post fliers in the area - grocery stores, churches, convenience stores, etc., with the website address. Maybe somebody will know somebody that knows somebody that knows a classmate??

Steve's band sounds great. It really doesn't matter where we have it. I'm just looking forward to coming this year. It's been a while since I've seen a lot of my classmates and guess the older I get the more I appreciate what we all shared. I've not been to a reunion in a long time. As far as the school is concerned, I've still got a few connection up there. Just let me know what I can do and I'll try and do my best to help. 30 years? That just seems so long ago!

Just remember Richard, we're not getting older, we're getting better !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the school sounds great for a reunion ! Hey, everybody knows where it is, so no problem finding it !! Maybe those of us who are still around this area could get together and decorate the cafeteria like we did for the prom. I'm a sentimental old coot I guess, but it would be fun. Of course, we need Steve's band too. There's plenty of hotels around here now, so if anyone wants to stay over night, you have lots of choices. I say let's do this thing !
