Rachel Diana Brotherton Smith

I graduated from Dana College in Blair, NE, in 1997, then lived and worked in Des Moines the following year. I moved back to Muscatine in 1998 where I worked in the schools for three years before taking the position as Child Care Director at the Muscatine Community Y. I met my husband, Shane, in 2005 and we were married in 2006. I left the Y and relocated to Des Moines, where Shane lived at the time. We were there for a year and now reside in North Liberty, where we are closer to family. We don't have children at this point, but are rather smitten with our cat, Molly Mae.

Most anything involving marching band was fun for me--pep band was a good time, too! Probably my favorite memory is the trip the band took to Japan during the summer after our freshman year. What an amazing experience!!
