Then the teacher gets chewed out because the kids can't pass the test.

Now, Julie, NCLB...remember? Don't let a 3rd grader go to 4th until he/she reads on grade level. Surely that works in your district???

Tama Brantley

zz top sucked. either they're getting old or i am! testing third graders would have been a more exciting show than zz top put on...

If that were true JB most of the pro athletes wouldn't have passed.

Joanie Brown (Edwards)

Good thing they got out before the lovely thing that is NCLB.

Sorry about the concert, Tama. Maybe you just didn't have enough SR211. I'm sure they would have been much better with lots of SR211. And don't I wish I could pack my bag and head to Houston. I've got to teach 2nd graders how to borrow. Assuming they haven't forgotten how to carry in the last week.

I have to deal with my nutty 8th graders tomorrow. Not to mention the "adults" at TCC

03/22/09 10:30 PM #2370

Tresa Reeder (Davis)

I wish I could teach a class at TCC. They don't have very many classes to offer.

03/22/09 11:39 PM #2371

Chris James

JB, I know how to "borrow". Can I "borrow" some SR211 from you?

Fresh out, CJ. Try again on Friday.

Happy Birthday Debbie Graves!

Julie Stiglets (Reagle)

OK, the first day back to school wasn't too horrible...Tresa, did I give you the contact information for my person at TCC? I'm on the schedule for next fall for reading, history, and government again. Once you get in, it's easy to continue...

Joanie Brown (Edwards)

No, today wasn't too bad. All but one showed up and no one fell asleep. I sure wanted to about 1:00 but I fought through the feeling.

03/23/09 09:45 PM #2377

Julie Stiglets (Reagle)

Tresa, they don't look at your certification, besides, aren't you highly qualified? What can you teach?

03/24/09 06:16 AM #2378

Tresa Reeder (Davis)

Joanie Brown (Edwards)

Oh my, another day over. Again, I should be rewarded for not beating one of these down.

03/24/09 03:20 PM #2380

Joanie Brown (Edwards)

Is there something going on this weekend? Are you all planning on the sly?

03/24/09 07:08 PM #2381

Tresa Reeder (Davis)

I thought we were going to Susan's for dinner?

Who is going to decide this dilemma before Saturday?

03/25/09 08:07 AM #2382

Joanie Brown (Edwards)

If Susan doesn't tell us when and what to bring then we have no idea what to do. We're helpless without leadership.

If there is a meeting/party/get together/Sheila and I won't be able to make it. Mowing season has begun and I have to work for a living once again. :(

03/25/09 09:54 AM #2384

Tresa Reeder (Davis)

I will email Susan and see what I can find out and pass the word.

Dwayne you and Sheila will be greatly missed.

03/25/09 10:05 AM #2385

Joanie Brown (Edwards)

Sorry Dwayne, work sucks. My yard has needed mowing for 2 weeks now but I'm going natural this year. Well, really just waiting for a nice, warm day to mow.

Teachers--we just found out that all but 3 schools in Tulsa are going to be chapter schools next year. Supposedly, the criteria is dropping to 40% free lunches, which almost all the schools have. They're saying they'll hire new reading and math specialists, but where are they going to find them?

Also, there's an 8th grade math position opening at my school for next year if you know anyone who is interested.

03/25/09 03:23 PM #2387

Tresa Reeder (Davis)

Is it charter schools? What exactly is a charter school?

03/25/09 03:29 PM #2388

Chris, why didn't tell us that free movies has changed
its domain name from watch-movies.net to

www.watch-movies-links.net

Just in case anyone would like to know. Yep, you can see first run shows without ever living your home or work [don't let the boss catch ua]. Enjoy

Also, if your into porn, check out www.xtube.com not that I ever would lower myself to watching such stuff. But I know its a free country and just wanted others to have the freedom.
