Roy Renaldo Barragan, 73, of Clear Lake, Ca. passed away from heart complications on August 7th, 2016. The funeral service will be held Friday, August 19th at 1:00 pm at Claffey and Rota Funeral Home, 1975 Main St. Napa, Ca. 94559. Alisha Marie Walston (Roy's granddaughter) will be officiating. Burial will immediately follow the funeral at Napa Valley Memorial Park, 2383 Napa-Vallejo Highway, Napa, Ca. 94558.
Roy was born in Napa, Ca. on November 1, 1942 at Victory Hospital to Maldo and Rita Barragan. He was the youngest of three children. Roy attended Mt. George and graduated from Napa High School. He then joined the Air Force and proudly served for three years.
While stationed in Nebraska Roy met and married Dottie Perea, the mother of his three children; Roy, Renee and Teresa, they were married for nine years. Roy remarried in 1997 to Kimberly Doctor, the mother of his two youngest children; Andrea and Anjeliqa. Roy returned to Napa after serving in the Air Force and began his career at Mare Island where he worked as a machinist and nuclear inspector for 10 years. He then began a business with his beloved brothers in real estate and other business adventures. Roy ended his professional career as an inspector for Napa Pipe where he enjoyed traveling the United States. Roy enjoyed swimming and working as a lifeguard, gardening, traveling, reading and learning. He was actively involved with the American Legion of Napa Valley and a member of the Vetrans Affairs of Clearlake. He also volunteered. at various organizations, but his favorite was any organization that involved vetrans.
Roy is survived by his children Roy Barragan (Rachel), Renee Barragan (Jayme), Teresa Mack (John), Anjeliqa Barragan and Andrea Boykin (Josh); grandchildren Michael Ordonez (Angela), Roy Remaldo Barragan, Ryan Demecio Barragan (Ashley), Rita Trenae Barragan, Isaiah Anthony BaysBarragan, Cody James BaysBarragan, Corey James Mack, Alisha Marie Walston, Kristy Rose Mack, Neveah Barragan, Ilya Boykin and Ella Boykin; seven great grandchildren and numerous grieving family and friends. Roy was preceded in death by his beloved parents Maldo and Rita Barragan; his brothers Rudy Barragan and Rich Barragan and the mother of his two youngest children Kimberly Doctor.
