James Chris Bors

     St. Helena native James Chris Bors, 47, died Thursday, Jan. 11th, 1990 at a Chico hospital following a lengthly illness.

     Mr. Bors was born on Sept. 2nd, 1942 to Chris and Ruth (Lambert) Bors. He was raised and educated in Napa graduating from Napa High School in1960.

    He attended Napa College and in 1963 joined the U.S. Army and served in Germany and Vietnam. He returned to Napa upon his discharge in 1966.

     Mr. Bors worked at Mare Island for two years and then went to work for Milo King Food Service.

     He moved in 1986 to Gridley to operate the plant that Milo King opened in that area. The following year he purchased the Garden Ranch Feed Store in Oroville and continued to reside in Gridley.

     Mr. Bors is survived by his son Joshua of Napa, his parents Chris and Ruth Bors of Napa, four sisters, Annette Casey of Vallejo, Dianne Morrill of Benicia, Connie Waddington of Clearlake and Kathy Geary of Napa, one brother Louis of Napa and numerous nieces and nephews.

     Friends are invited to attend the funeral service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Richard Pierce Funeral Service, 1660 Silverado Trail, Napa, with Dale Bors and Brett Hammett officating. Interment will be at Tulocay Cemetery, Napa.

     Memorial contributions may be made the Lung Association of the Redwood Empire, P.O. box 1482, Santa Rosa, 95403 or Enlow Hospital, 1500 Esplanade Road, Chico.
