Ina Ruth Jordan was born in Oklahoma on March 28, 1942. Mrs. Jordan peacefully passed away in her home on Feb. 9.

Though she happily worked as a shipping clerk at Mare Island for many years, it was clear to all who knew Ina that she was called upon to be a homemaker. Her heart overflowed with an unconditional love for all; she was a comfort to the restless and a bright light to so many. An unmatched listener, she adored company. Ina never judged anyone, and her unwavering faith in God was shown through her compassion for others.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Gene Jordan, and her five grateful children; Debbie Scherle, Lorie Mack, who lovingly cared for her in her last years, Tim Jordan, Kenny Jordan, and Jody Jordan; also survived by 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

There will be a memorial service for Ina on Sunday, Feb. 22, at 3 p.m., at Vaca Hills Chapel 524 Elmira Road in Vacaville.
