Janice Fry (Eldridge)

Janice Louise Eldridge, 66, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 26, 2007. She was born in Oklahoma on June 10, 1941, to William and Nettie Fry.

Her family moved to Napa when she was 9 years old, and she graduated from Napa High School. She later earned her associate’s in English at Napa Valley College while working at Juvenile Hall and taking care of her two children, Richard and Lea.

Janice was very artsy and loved to sculpt, paint and draw. She also had an affinity for growing plants. Her garden was full of orchids and roses, and she cared for them for as long as she could.

Janice was active in the Singles of the North Bay and the local chapter of the Red Hat Society. She was a very social person who loved to travel; the beach, a concert or wine-tasting, she was always ready to go. Her family and friends will remember her as one who lived life to the fullest.

She is survived by her children, Richard (wife) Eldridge and Lea Eldridge; ex-husband Leroy Eldridge; grandchildren Madison and Dakota Eldridge; brother Carl Fry and sister Barbara Van Wormer; nieces Mandy, Sarah and Julie; and nephews William Fry and Michael Van Wormer.

Memorial contriibutions may be made to an account being set up Lea to benefit a bird sanctuary.
