George Glover

George Frederick Glover

1942 - 2022

George F. Glover of Napa, CA passed peacefully holding his wife's hand on Monday, January 31 after a brief stay in the hospital due to complications of Parkinson's disease.

Preceded in death are George's parents, Wilson and Daphne Glover, and his brother, Ernest Glover. George is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Lori, his daughter and son-in-law Teri and David Ruggiero, his son and daughter-in-law Steven and Brigida Glover, sister and brother-in law Janice and Robert Galbraith, sister and brother-in-law Marilyn and John Cupery, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

George grew up in Napa attending Mount George Elementary School, Ridgeview Junior High, and Napa Senior High School. After graduating high school in 1960, George served in the United States Air Force until 1964. While serving in the Air Force, he met and married Lori Timmerman in 1962 in Germantown, IL and moved back to Napa in 1964. George began working at Mare Island Naval Shipyard as an Engineer Technician until he retired in 1997 after 33 years of service. After retirement, George worked at Orchard Supply Hardware in Napa for 8 years.

George loved being outdoors, enjoying camping, fishing, boating, hiking and skiing. George and Lori traveled together all across the United States both for business and pleasure. George belonged to a bowling league and was a member of SIRS Branch 105.

A celebration of life will occur in Spring of 2022. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson's Association of Northern California or Collabria Care in Napa, CA.
