Dear Family of Gerry Hastings,

Gerry sat next to me in Major Thornton's 11th Grade American History class in 1959.  I remember her to be tall and attractive. As a 16-year old, Gerry was unusally aware of others!  We shared about College Prep. subjects, tests and so forth. When I got a good grade on a History test that I didn't realize the class would be taking, Gerry was so very complimentary!

Working for the U.S. Geological Survey in Menlo Park--I left Napa in 1968-- I didn't realize what had happened to Gerry till 1985 (25th Class Reunion). I was shocked to say the least. Gerry got to see the Success of the American Apollo 11-17 Moon Progarm (1969 to 1972). As that program was a milestone in American Planetary Science, so Gerry was a loving milestone in the lives of many of us! They that wait upon the Lord shall mount up on wings as eagles...

Please feel free to contact us or visit! Rosa, my wife, and I live in Northern Idaho near the Canadian border in Hayden Lake near Coeur d' Alene. 208 7721890.

In Loving Memory of Gerry! Jim Pearl, Class of 1960   (July 2, 2010)
