My condolences to the Henderson family. Glenn and I grew up in the alphabet neighborhood and I new Glenn since he was in the Cub Scouts together. My Mom was our den mother. Glenn was about one of the nicest guys I knew. I remember he had a wonderful singing voice. Rest in peace Glenn.Shirley Langdon (Wilcox)
I was sorry to hear Glenn had died. For several years Glenn lived about a half a block away from me on Georgia St. He lived on a corner, probably Georgia & C Street. He sometimes hung out at my house after school. That was probably about the 7th grade. I remember going out on a date with him to see a movie. Dick Curtis (who has already posted about Glenn) lived further up the street towards the high school. I passed Dick's house as I walked to school. Another Georgia Street classmate was Leigh Gaba, who lived a block or two from my house. Leigh was one of our classmates who died rather early in life. My very first date was with Leigh. We were in the 6th or 7th grade. He invited me to get a "soda" on Jefferson Street. I don't remember if we got it at the grocery store (Jefferson Food Market) of the liquor store next to it. The liquor store was a favorite place to buy penny candies when I was in elementary school.
