Marlene Ann Libby

Marlene Ann Wilkinson, 60, passed away at Kaiser Hospital in Vallejo on April 18 following a long illness. A native of Vallejo, Marlene was born December 14, 1941 to Thomas J. and Madge Mae (Chancellor) Libby. She lived in Vallejo until 1950 when her family moved to Napa. She has lived here ever since.

She played in the Napa High School Band and graduated with the Napa High School Class of 1960. She married Ronald Wilkinson the following year on Nov. 19 in Napa. Marlene worked at Queen of the Valley Hospital for 22 years as an admitting clerk until illness forced her to retire. Her devotion and love to her family and friends were well known.

Favorite past times included making wedding cakes for members of her family and for friends. Sewing was also a favorite activity, having made quilts for several of her grandchildren. She was a member of the Napa First Christian Church, where she taught. She was a dedicated volunteer and the American Cancer Society.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald Lee Wilkinson, of Napa; her children, Debbie Renea (and spouse Alan) Holmes of Susanville, Nataley Ann Horstkamp (and spouse William) of Medford, Ore., and Todd Ronald (and spouse Laura) Wilkinson of Colfax; her siblings, Darlene Paul of Bremerton, Wash., Judy Kardy of Sacramento, Tommy Libby and Tim Libby, both of Napa; and her mother, Madge Mae Libby of Napa. She is also survived by grandchildren Taylar Holmes of Riverside, Janae Holmes of Susanville, Billy Horstkamp of Medford, Brennan Wilkinson of Colfax, Heidi Horstkamp of Medford, and Ryan Wilkinson of Colfax; uncle and aunt, Ralph and Jean Libby; her in-laws, Toni and Eddie Wilkinson; and devoted brother-in-law, Dave Paul.
