Gene Luntey

  David Eugene Luntey,  72, died in Gilbert, Ariz., Oct. 29, 2013. He was born in Vallejo, Calif., on Oct. 21, 1941. After graduating from Napa High School, Gene served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

  Following his honorable discharge, he made his home in Napa and worked as a union carpenter for 30 years in the Bay Area.

  He married Sandra on Feb. 8, 2002, and he moved to Las Vegas, and they eventually settled in San Tan, Ariz. Gene was a member of the Moose Lodge and the VFW, and he loved to travel.

 He is survived by his wife, Sandra; daughter, Laura Dye; Sandra's children, Jim, Brian, Krystal, Candy and Cheryl; brothers, Jack and Clark Luntey; and numerous grandchildren, great -grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

  A service to honor Gene's life will be held on Monday, Nov.11, 2013, in the Tulocay Chapel at 1 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lund Family Hospice Home, 1982 Woodside Court, Gilbert, AZ 85297.
